All I’m going to say is, your team better come correct this upcoming season. There’s going to be some great teams in 2A this season, and Shelby will be right there. The boys put in eight great days of work, and they were pushed by a great group of coaches.

Great video! What is going on with the construction there?

Willybanks. How that guy get the job lol seems like a weird coach...... Shelbyville always has great athletes but this coach seems wayyyyyy under qualified to say the least. How's a white HC have all black assistant and none will ever get the HC at Shelbyville????

Money was raised by booster club, there was a grant to upgrade our field house that hadn't been used 250.000 which was applied but this project is 2.5 million.
Shelby fieldhouse not been updated since 60s, I graduated in 83 and they still look same up to this past year.

Two years as head coach with a quarterfinals and state championship. Not to bad for a weird coach. I'll take those results.

I had my concerns during his second year, the Covid shortened season. That was a dysfunctional, undisciplined Shelby team, if we Shelby guys are being honest. In 2019, he inherited an all time great team that required very little coaching. I was skeptical, but that’s what happens when you replace a legendary coach in Lance Ware.

But, seeing his work last season, and hearing his pep talks to the players in videos sold me. His pep talks before the Reidsville and Wallace Rose Hill games were epic. I’m definitely sold on him being the next great coach in Cleveland County and statewide.

That first AC you saw in the video talking to the Safety was Van Eskeridge. I don’t know if he’s back on a full time basis, but that young man is brilliant, and relatable to the players, a passionate Shelby man. He’s a big time addition, And before you even say it, “SWO beat the brakes…. in 04”

Yes Van back this year hope its for more then this year

I see who's come back but, how many new receivers does Maiden and Shelby have coming up this season?
McDaniel should be a name we’ll hear a lot more this year.

That 6 feet 4” freshman Misher kid who was our starting center in basketball may get some playing time. He lead the JV football team in receptions as well.

WR DB Dixon will be a name we’ll hear too….he got season ending hurt early last year. I heard he is ready to play. There’s high expectations on him.

RB Robinson kid…He is a stud!….baller too!…hoping he is back… but I’m not sure about him. Heard he transferred then I heard he didn’t…so who knows.

Both of the Stover boys are pretty dam good as well.

We’ll see!👀

Culliver, Hall, Sigmon, Gibbs are gonna be a handful…that’s prime time entertainment right there! I can’t wait.

Then….there’s the QB…. It’s 50-50 last I heard….a dang coin toss….if he plays.
Have mercy!

This is Shelby’s thread….who is the freshman you posted on another thread that looked promising?

If you know…just post it on the CVAC thread…so we don’t get fussed at!😂😂😂…or just text me.

Its ok I'll take the heat for it. I was asking because both Maiden and Shelby played, so I figured it was relevant.

I was curious about Cramer as well. Bunker Hill plays them again this year.

I would have bet the house on East Gaston versus Cramer last fall.
I thought that was a shocker…Cramer has really improved.

And to stay relevant…..Shelby is real good!😂😂😂
