Shelby 28, Northside-Jax 6 - 2AA State Championship

Is this final???
Also in each regional bracket which (if both meet) #1 seed has hiome field advantahe in the regional final?

well I was just wondering the have Ed #1 in one eastern bracket and Clinton #1 in the other. Clinton truly finished 11-0, East Duplin finished 10-1 but gets to throw out their non-conference Wallace Rose Hill loss. Clinton convincingly defeated Wallace Rose Hill. Home field advantage for the DarkHorses seems like a no brainer but DarkHorse fans know how the NCHSAA operates. Whatever the case the DarkHorses have always played very well in Beulaville!

So why is the 10-1 team @ the 8-3 team if overall records are first?

Roanoke Rapids finished 2nd in their conference and seeded in that East Region as a #5. East Davidson finished 2nd in their conference and was seeded #4 in the Mideast.

Look at 4AA, Mallard Creek is seeded as a #5 Midwest and have to travel to Hough who is seeded as # 4 West. Mallard Creek beat them in conference and finished higher in conference but they are in different regions. Weird huh?

Don't get your panties in a bunch, Wiz. Clinton definitely got an easier draw.

ED has an Eastern Final in the second round!

Putting West Caldwell, East Lincoln, Maiden all together with them being in the same conference makes a lot of sense but we are talking about the NCHSAA

And I forgot about West Lincoln. Four schools from the same conference on the same side of the bracket, now how stupid is that.

Oh we got Bunn in a potential 3rd round and that's easier? Roanoke Rapids a eastern final, get serious, you would be better to be cocerned about Andrews in the 3rd round but I got the seeding answer, Horses are at home as long as they play. Good luck to your Panthers

Like I said. Don't get your panties in a bunch.

Like I said. Don't get your panties in a bunch.
Do t wear panties? , just want to make sure the Horses don't get screwed by the NCHSAA as they have in the past many times. Really not to much worried about ED at home or away. Clinton has had alot of success at ED in the playoffs in fact I don't ever recall losing there in the playoffs. I may be wrong but for the record I did get some clarification from the NCHSAA and they said:

1.Head-to-Head Record

2.10-Game Record

3.Overall Record

4.MaxPreps ranking as of 11/12
That means the DarkHorses are at home as long as the play.
In 2006 I remember everyone of their playoff were on the road!

East Duplin defeated Clinton at Clinton in the opening round of the 2003 playoffs 9-7.

Yes, that is the only time is has happened.

Counting that game ED has won 8 of the last 12 in the series. Clinton has won 6 of the 7 playoff meetings.

Lot of football left before they might meet this year.

Well, Thomasville beat Lexington, state skipped #1 I suppose. Lexington only played 10 games, Thomasville played 11 as in #2 & #3. Thomasville ranked higher than Lexington at Maxpreps. Only #3 could've gave Lexington the higher seed and yet they got it. So if your quote of the NCHSAA is correct, they don't follow their on criteria, but hey, what else is new.

you dont have to remind us about Clinton's success vs ED in the playoffs Wiz lol. also with all due respect, i would rather have a real tough game in the third rd. instead of the second rd. , wouldnt you?

So you really think Roanoke Rapids is going to be a tough game????

well they have do have a very good record (10-1 for seeding purposes) so i wouldnt expect it to be easy.
Did you see who they play? Records can be deceiving. As I said High Point Andrews should be your worry but the no one should be overlooked.

One of the best high school playoff games I ever saw was Clinton at E.D. when Brian was coaching ED. Place was packed. Clinton intercepted a pass with a few mins. left in game to win a close one. Brian had one heck of a FG kicker that year and good team.
I still say Brian Aldriege was best coach on making adjustments in games I've ever seen. He was and is a true winner. Good luck to ED this week.

No one is sleeping on the Monarchs. They're a solid squad. Athletic, long and can make plays. Should be a great game.

I'll be a bit surprised if Hertford County hangs 27 points on this defense. I'm not saying they can't win, but if they do it's much more likely to be a 17-14 or 14-10 type score IMO.

Panther, all Clinton fans are hoping both of our teams win Friday so we can have an old fashion showdown like old times. I think it would be a Huge crowd!

I've wanted the Darkhorses since last December. ED gave the game against Bunn away and I think you guys feel the same.

This is a year in the making. Hopefully we'll both take care of some very tough opponents this Friday night and set the stage for a slobber knocker.
