This scenario will be for the SW Edgecombe/Washington winner and North Johnston.

If N.Johnston wins Friday, the winner of the SWE/Washington and NoJo will both be 4-1 in their conference. NoJo beat both teams in the reg season. Now does this make NoJo the outright champs or will they share with SWE or Wash because they are going in separate classifications 2A/2AA?

Three way ties are explained in the handbook. This is really not a tie because NoJo beat both head to head...right? Any expert let me know what you think. Thanks.

Only one #1 seed per classification (regardless of A/AA) per conference. According to Brian Simmons.

This answer comes from Tra Walters, NCHSAA Assistant Commissioner when asked if teams tied for conference championship going to different subdivisions still both get seeded as #1s he said YES.

NoJo should be the outright champs since they won the head-to-head matchup. SWE or Washington will be 2nd and 3rd. I don't think there will be multiple #1 seeds in this situation.

If there is a 3 way tie and each team has beat the other then that's when the multiple #1 seeds come into play.

When did I say that Beamer?

Situation won't happen now since NoJo lost - SWE is outright champ.
