Ouch - Got a lot of work to do to stay with teams like I saw tonight. Dillon will go 15 - 0 again and just might be the best team SC will see all year no disrespect to Butler, RC, 71st and West Meck - 5 D-1 players based on eyeball test #17 and #5 are not typical high school looking players. They both look like SEC type kids.

SC is young and they look it. They will not intimidate anyone when they step off the bus. I thought the Oline was ok but really concerned about interior d-line and secondary. Wall has potential and poppa mckoy might have a better year than Smiley with the rock. Kid can just ball.

Interesting year would not surprise me if we were 9-2 or 6-5.

Rust has nothing to do with youth and we have tons of it 3 fumbles and 2 blown coverages. we will be fine by the end of the year but we will have some growing pains. Not a lot of depth either so injuries or lack of will be key but I really like the future. Kids actually catching the ball down field on 2 throws was a good thing. These kids competed though they were not intimidated by Dillon.

Yep, very inexperienced. TD catch was made by a sophomore. All of the backs outside of papa and smiley are sophomores. Future is bright. I think short of injuries, they will make big improvements with each game.
 
Ill agree with your assessments jmac.
We are just a spoiled bunch the past 7 years.
The size or lack there of is the big thing that jumps at you. I think nearly everything will have to run through Wall out of a widely spread offense. I also see McCoy having a bigger year
than McQueen but "Smiey will have those
phenomenal man runs like the one tonight.
Dillon is good, real good.
I just penciled through the games and got 6-5, but since it was pencil Ill
gladly accept/expect better.

99 we will be in every game but experience matters. Talent is there size is lacking on D IMO. when you biggest lineman is 225 on D and your linebackers are all 185 except for when #5 is playing you are small. we look like RC on D LOL!

Reality is has began to settle in. Smiley expects this to be his year. Could be interesting if that shifts to McKoy. Understand the OC left yesterday as well.
 
Man it's really quiet on this thread. Must be true....everyone in SC are still in shock. Did Dillon come in a take all the swagger? Was it so bad that Bailey ran the new OC off? Do tell....inquiring minds want to know...

since you know about the oc you tell us. No it was not that bad but dillon is very good and they would curbstomp most on this site. SC wll be fine but 9-2 or 6-5 is the range. Offensively they will be fine the D is the concern no size. I will always be here as long as i have the fingers and brain (brain is in question). Scots are just tiny not void of talent do not get it twisted bro they could still win the conf. and make The schedule is so tough loosing 5 is real. 2 non conference and 3 in conference or vice-versa.

I thought you were a 71st Falcon fan??? Why do you care who's coaching or who has swagger around here??? You worry about what's going on with the Dirty Birds and we'll see you when we see you.
 
c'mon man....where's all that we gonna run the conference and win the state talk. It was sounding good until you put the pads on. Zamir is gone, the o line is gone, defense was never their, QB is shaky. As for your OC I'm asking you guys. I do know for a fact he was not happy with him. Unless Bailey had a change of heart...he's gone. How you gonna say 9-2 to 6-5? that's like saying we gonna be good or bad. I'll give you 7-4. By the way...Charles Gunnings was the best addition to your coaching staff in years. He should be the next head coach. May be next year after this season.
 
I like the Dirty Birds. They do have an air assault much better than last year. Your defense was your offense...couldn't stop anyone, just outscored everyone. You have to come to the Falcon's Nest this year....things will be different.

Because if you know anything about football the margins can be that close case in point the year before SC won the state I believe there were 7-4 the next year they wen 15-0 with the same kids and just one year of maturity so the margin was pretty slim and they curbstomped in going from 7-4 to 15 - 0. This team will not be a favorite in 4 games for sure but they could win them all or loose them all as with any team but they are just a team that doesn't have the room for error as in years past but the reality 71st and RC ain't done nothing to talk about in years so until then we will let it play out. 71st will be bone dry next year so you better get it and that comes from folks i know that have kids on the team. You all are hoping we suck well news flash you ain't half as good as you think you are but time will tell the country boys always come to play.

You don't know what you're talking about. The Scots came close in 78, when they lost to Richmond in the Eastern Conference finals 9-7. If you going to talk smack about us, make sure you get your facts straight Slim!!!!!

Yeah JMAC... I know its our rebuild year. just hope we can hold it in the road against the SAC 8...everybody licking their chops at the Scots.
 
You guys witnessed last night what many Dillon fans are calling what could be our Greatest team of all time. Shamar McCollum(#17) is a borderline 5 star DE who just committed to Wake Forest. Tyquan King(#5) is our Qb's (Jateil Lester(#4) who put on 20 lbs of muscle) cousin from Conneticut. WR #9 Ahmari Huggins Bruce runs in the 4.3 40 range is practically unguardable. WR Corrian Wright #1 Runs a 4.4 40 and he is great as well. We have some monster Olinemen and two nose guards on the defensive side who both squat over 600 lbs. #6(Starting RB) is nemo squire. He is seen as the #1 back for 2022. There are about 10 more guys I could name but I won't the next 3-4 years will EASILY be the best teams we have ever fielded. These are the teams that folks have warned us about for about 5+ years now.

Close....we talking championships not horseshoes and hand grenades. Scots may have been hot the last few years but when it comes to those ship trophies they don't have a lot to say. As for injuries that goes both ways. I want both teams to be healthy so yall won't have any excuses. If you think Davis torched you last year just wait. In the meantime Butler will win by at least 2 touchdowns.

LMAO...Last year Zamir ran on these guys like they were middle school kids. Now they all squat 600lbs and run 4.3's.......I got news for you. The Dillon fans say its their best team EVERY YEAR.

08 with ol' man Paroli (not son) i believe 8- 5 the tied Page and Todd Ellis. Luv the game i was on that 85 team for th SC. Yeah 71st took it to us pretty good but worked out well for me from a football perspective. we scrimmaged that summer and they were the best team we played then and while we got better they got better as well. They had players at every level we had players at a few.

I was at that game in 85. I've read the article and I'm pretty familiar with the program. We playing ball this year, we don't want to hear about you better get us now. That's just an excuse. Man up and take your lumps because there will be a few this year.

you are right you all should have not been brought into the conversation. really not worth mentioning - oops have a great weekend 98 always good to go back and forth with you. makes it fun for real though serious respect for RC and 71st for that matter. when I played there were always the two best teams we faced.

afraid come on dawg you not who you dealing with. Yes i saw you guys against PF and your receivers are good and you look the part now lets see if you play the part. You all have played down to some teams in the past and gotten handled in playoffs. maybe this is your year. I would say if Hoggard goes big you all would be the favorite in the east with SC and a bunch of others folks stacked up. But I can tell you what the team to look out for in the conf is Lumberton they might just surprise us all. They have the some studs on that squad. See why Grice didn't leave they should be a playoff team this year. They look the part.

Have great respect for Dillon program and have witnessed them play in the prison yard twice. Lot of great athletes come out of there. Some of the fan base cracks me up though. Great program, not quite Alabama

sorta like Scotland Fans we can be over the top. I'm a realist and this team will be good and will get better but will be a different type of team. will have to be creative on both sides to make noise.

More like one maybe two fans!!! I AM also a realist, the competition is way tougher with the elite bigger programs. Winning is one thing and competing is another.

We haven't let the genie out of the bottle yet. The only team that handled us was SC last year. Injury bug got us in Raleigh the year you got handled by cape fear...the same cape fear who only beat us by a total of 7 points in three years with phantom roughing the center penalty at their place. We'll get them back this year also. Really good chance you guys will drop the first 2. The sleeper team in the conference is Hoke county. Most will laugh but keep watching. Now that's the team who should be saying "you better get us now".
