Week 7 Games:​

Monroe @ Forest Hills: Hate this for you FH but this Friday will probably be a little rough. Monroe is averaging over 40 ppg and giving up 7 and they have not played a 2A yet. Granted the 3A and 4A teams they have played are not the greatest, the win against is pretty impressive. I really hope this year there are not any extra curricular activities like last year that ended the game late in the 3rd quarter. Monroe takes this one.

Parkwood @ Anson County: Two mediocre to bad football teams at best. Common opponent Central Pageland, same result both lost. Parkwood only gave up 22 to them but also didn't score. Anson scored but was well out of the game before that mattered. Winner of this one is whoever generates enough momentum to keep their kids from checking out. This game is basically a toss up neither is particularly good so it will be a matter of who makes fewer mistakes and who can capitalize on opportunities. Wouldn't be surprised if either won.

West Stanly @ Piedmont: If the Parwood Anson game is mediocre this game will be bad. These are two bad football teams. Yes that is a harsh statement about kids playing high school ball, but a spade is spade. Piedmont is proving that a revolving coaching carousel gets you nowhere. Both defenses are giving up lots of points Piedmont 28 and WS 35 ppg, neither offense is particularly good. The ponies are down right inept on offense. WS has not scored more than twice in any capacity except against NS and was blanked their last time out. Piedmont has not managed more than 3 scores except against an even worse team in CC. I give Piedmont a slight edge in this one due to playing semi-tougher competition.

Side note: It is becoming ridiculous the amount of games that are having to be stopped because of an altercation in the stands, behind the stands or in the parking lot. This has got to stop. School and county Admins need to get out front of this before the games start each year and make sure people understand that this kind of behavior won't be tolerated and these kinds of things will lead to them being banned not just from that school but from any school in that county. Players and coaches on the field do not deserve to have a game halted and then be cleared and rushed to the locker room in fear because idiots want to fight or worse.
