I remember both Keith Marshall and Todd Gurley came out of NC i think in the same year and both went to Georgia. Asheville highs Jeoffrey Pagan chose Alabama over several ACC schools. Chris Leak from Independence went to Florida. Joe Cox from independence went to georgia. Mohamad Masaqoui from independence went to Georgia. Brandon Spikes from crest went to Florida. Jonathan Bullard from Crest went to Florida. Some people debate how good the SEC really is or isn't, but there is no denying they will search all over for the talent.
I know for certain Ashevilles Crezdon Butler wanted to go to Georgia very bad, but they never offered. He ended up going to Clemson and is in the NFL

Clemson has always recruited NC hard. You can add Tennessee, Auburn, Miami, Florida State, Michigan, and Stanford to the list of out of state powers with NC kids playing major roles on their respective teams. That's just a few off the top of my head. The depth of talent in NC is getting better every year. That's not counting Oklahoma, Alabama, LSU, Ohio St., Virginia, and Florida St. having NC kids that have already committed to them for 2016.

Didnt we have only 1 5 star recruit this year?

Most of those SEC schools along with other out of state college powers recruit the state of North Carolina hard every year. If UNC can ever figure out a way to keep most of the elite talent in state than watch out.
yep...including Clemson. SC, Clemson, VT and Tennessee have hammered the state of NC for 40 years and UNC, Wake and NC State have barely noticed much to their dismay. Any HS in the west has generally been overlooked by those in state schools most years until recently. UNC has a big presence in Charlotte area finally. NCSU starting to come around more too.
