Refs officiating the Jack Britt vs Richmond game was the WORST! I am a Richmond fan but I tell you without the refs we would have not won!

White hat acted like he had never worn it before. Forgot twice to stop the clock when he huddled with the other refs to name just two.

FBR look over this talk..Only real call I question was the Richmond County catch near the goal line in the 4th qtr......The head linesman ruled catch and the back judge ruled no catch...IT was a catch....No question...Maybe some question about a runner getting in the endzone late in the 4th.......The white hat did correct the clock mistake....Very hard game to call...I think they called what was obvious to everyone.....They let both head coaches argue their cases...So easy to call from the stands......Both teams left it all on the field.......Class acts both ways.....Great comeback by the Raiders,,,,,,Maybe Raider Magic is back......On to Page next week.......Congratulations to our neighbors Scotland County on a great year.......I was really disappointed in the condition of the field......??????? i'll leave it at that ...nuff said.........

You would have thought we paid them to help us win, they intentionally missed calls for us and would create penalties on Jack Britt. Some were on the money, just kinda sucks we didn't win by just beating them. I think a different ref crew, we would be staying home next Friday night we will never know now.

They even called a holding call on us when coach c asked on who the white hat said 15 he was on the sideline the whole time

What the heck are you talking about? Were you even anywhere near Fayetteville last night? Good grief!

Notice that it was posted by a new poster? Doubt seriously it is a Richmond fan. Good calls and bad calls against both teams. At least in my perspective, but I try to always give the refs the benefit of the doubt because it is such a tough job to do.

Stud, question for you. The catch and fumble in the first quarter, (think it was the first drive) did you think that was a catch?

The Touchdown catch in the back of the end zone was a touchdown. But I think the Refs called a Even Steven game. Hey Twist did my buddy Bobby come and meet your crew at Halftime.

I posted on Twitter about halfway through the game on how bad the officiating was. I'll let a bad call go here and there but it was consistent. I mean if you don't know what you're doing, leave thr flag in your pocket.

Richmond and Britt were BOTH victims of terrible calls. It's almost like they were trying to make up for old bad calls with new ones. Sad considerING it was the ONLY bad part about this game

Yes, I think they were equally good or bad for both teams too.

dcov33, someone did come and try to talk to us during the half, but they were several rows down and we had a lot of trouble understanding what they were saying. Maybe that was them? We were in the visitor bleachers about the 50 at the top.

@Twist his name is Bobby he has a Developmental Disability he resides in Fayetteville, he stated he listen to you guys every Friday night and he loves G104.3 and he just wanted to meet you guys... But I promise you he is sharp and very bright...

That's cool. Wish I could have conversed more with him. Unfortunately, I am on 900 AM. It's Mike and Lee who are on G104.

Twist..It was really hard to tell from where I was, but the reaction of number #88 for us was well, maybe I had it and they stripped it.....But my personal opinion it was an incomplete pass...I was wrong on the dropped ball at the goal line .....The back judge was right , after talking with the reciever Sat am.....So good call on that one...I really think they did a good job of letting the kids play..The L off. T for Britt almost tore the jersey off of our #93 several times....One last thing ...Coach C please explain that onside kick at the end Mon night....Cant wait to hear that one.....Congratulations Raiders.....Congratulations Coaches.....Job well done......Round 3 coming up........nuff said...

Did not want to take the chance of a return for a TD and he had confidence in our D stopping them. Great call coach I see you like to Roll the Damn Dice.

This is Mike. No problem with the resemblance. Twist and I have been friends for a long time. We both deem it an honor and a privilege to broadcast Raider football games. We get to see a lot of great players from all over the state line up week in and week out. A lot of them end up playing on Saturdays and a few on Sundays. We also get to meet some great fans, some that have a lot of passion for their team and also a lot of knowledge about the game.

dcov33, if this young man is ever at the game again, please let me know. We are usually on the home side, in the press box or on top of it, shouldn't be to hard to find. Lee and I usually come over to the Raiders sideline before the game and hang out until around 6:50 or so. If you would like to message me, my email is mrsnead40@gmail.com. Thanks for listening and good luck to all the teams remaining.

On another note about the game with JB. That had to be one of the most exciting games I've seen in a long time. Raider football is exciting again, and these players and coaches have made it that way. I was a big fan of Coach Hoggard, but Coach Castalano has brought in an energy style that we haven't seen in quite a while. I hope everyone has a blessed and safe Thanksgiving, and we look forward to the game this week against Greensboro Page, a team I had a chance to play against in 1973 and 1974.

Again, good luck to you all, and may God bless.

Great job by both stations covering the games. It is appreciated. I try to attend all I can, but didn't get back into RDU Friday until 6:30. I was able to stream the game and hear every play!

Yes, I agree regarding the officiating! Those guys didn't seem to sure of what they were seeing or calling! It was starting to take away from the game in the 1st half. Also, the playing field was as bad as I've seen since the 2001 game at Laney HS. The sound system wasn't much better either as we couldn't understand a word the announcer said.

Go Raiders!

I pray I have a game where the worst thing someone can remember that I did was forget to stop the clock twice. ;)

Doesn't mean anything. Sometimes, when players are moving, you don't see the number correctly before you have to move away from a matchup to continue officiating the play. For example, a 76 may appear to be a 78 when the jersey is twisted around. I made that very mistake last Friday night (in a different game). That doesn't change the fact that 76 made a great takedown.
