Reidsville faces one of the top 2A programs in the state the last few years....any thoughts?...I personally think the Rams are up to the challenge...

Looked at Andrews roster. Some very big linemen. Not been very impressive so far. Used big plays to beat ravens croft, a private school in raleigh

This will be the fastest and most athletic team reidsville has faced so far. Andrews is always big across the Offensive and Defensive line and are always athletic. Reidsville Coaches will most likely out coach them. Atleast thats the way its been the last few times we played them. My concern is the two impact players that we will be without thats 4 positions we have to fill. Some bodies will have to step up quickly. I believe the Rams can pull this one out.

Should be an interesting game. Wish I could be there Friday night as the folks in Reidsville are always good hosts. I haven't seen Andrews this year but I do know that the Rams and the Red Raiders always seem to bring out the best in each other. I certainly hope Andrews finally gets over the hump with Reidsville, as they have gotten the best of us recently.

I saw Andrews play Southwest. The Raiders looked good plenty of speed good size. Penalties and turnovers killed them especially I'm the 2nd half. Can't remember the kid from Southwest name but he had #8 played WR was killing there secondary all night.

Andrews scored on four long plays in the win over Ravenscroft so that seems to point to some excellent speed. The four TDs came from different players. Scoring on the ground were Jamari Palbusa (5-6, 160 junior) 51-yard run, Travis Steele (5-8, 185 junior) 95 yard run and Jikawiza Hope (5-9, 170 senior) 40-yard run.
The Red Raiders also hit a 61-yard TD pass as quarterback Bailey Willis (5-11, 160 senior) connected with Amir Campbell.
Just some facts to go with the general opinions offered earlier in this thread.

The 4a board ran him off from over there.

We're definitely not finished up there, and you shouldn't be either. They basically insinuate that anything other than 4A is weak and pathetic. Gotta make 'em learn and yall's help would be beneficial. Could Reidsville of 08 and 09 hang with nearly any team in the state regardless of class?? And they'd call that team a little boy football team. Just because we have almost 2000 less students than some of the 4A schools doesn't mean we can't hang with them. We work with the talent we have to be the best we can be and beat 4A teams in the process!

'98...for once I agree with you....Shelby and Reidsville an other teams from certain years could play with anyone...ain't saying they would win but they could sure make it interesting...........

Classic matchup.. used to hear about Andrews, Cummings, and Reidsville games alot before Cummings fell off.

Andrews has struggled mightily with turnovers and penalties to start the year. This isn't anything new under this staff, even in the state championship year in 2013. The talent is there at the skill positions to be special. The lack of talent at the QB position killed them last year and the same kid is back this year as a senior. I just don't feel confident that they can beat high quality teams on a consistent basis with him under center. Nice kid, but well behind the usual Andrews QB talent level. If they can limit penalties and turnovers, and play disciplined football, they are just as good as anybody in 2A on any given night. However, the Andrews teams we've seen so far this year is a few touchdowns behind Reidsville at this point in the season I'd say. Admittedly, I haven't seen Reidsville but I've been around that program enough to know that they will be disciplined, play hard and have lots of talent. Before the season, I predicted that this team would have 3 or 4 losses heading into the playoffs. This game was one of the one's I chalked up as a loss. Good luck to both teams. Hopefully Andrews will show up and make it worth your while.

I think Andrews is too big up front on both sides for the Rams. I`m taking the Red Raiders in this one!

Rams are playing without 2 of their main cogs....maybe for the year...one a DL who was pre-season all state 2A player (knee) and the other a starting WR and DB (broken leg)...2 big holes to fill that someone will have to step up and play......I'll still give a razor thin edge to the Rams but a loss would certainly not surprise me....................

If anyone comes to this game thinking the Rams are a "small" team they will be in for a huge surprise. Nothing small about the Rams, linemen or skill positions.

Not sure where the guy above gets we are big because we aren't. I'd say we are average size for 2A and not big across the lines by any stretch of the imagination. If I had to guess, Reidsville will be bigger. The Andrews crowd fully expects an uphill battle against a very good Reidsville team.

Hoping for a Red Raider win but from what I hear the Rams are very good....I expect the home team to win.....I'm going 21.20 home team.......

Even with the major injuries the Rams suffered last week, Reidsville should be about a two touchdown favorite.

The Red Raiders will have to play one of their best games to have a shot at winning this one.

Raiders have good size, but not huge. A few guy on OL are massive.

The Rams have to be disciplined on defense against the Andrews Flex/Wing T formations, or it will be a long night.

The injuries concern me. But I think #11 can step in well at cb, he leads the team in ints. The bigger concern is a at wr foster may have been the best wide-out. Golden injury is a huge loss, some people are going to have to fill in, I think we still have some pretty good dts though.

doesn't sound good and Reidsville seems to be weaker in the defensive middle than in years past.....of course when you graduate a player like Rankin who started all 4 yrs. at LB...it's easier to be weaker....

Will someone post score updates during the game? I have to work tonight so I would love to be able to keep up with the game at my desk tonight.

From looking at the JV game last night, Andrews will have good size. They will pound the middle very often. They will be very physical and will play tough nosed defense. This should be a hard scrappy game. GO RAMS!!

Andrews 48 Rams 3, no contest, we were out our best lineman ( King ) 6'4" 370 Lb's Jr. out with flu.

yes we are big (Andrews) we have 6 Lineman over 300 lb's and three over 340, the weight on hudl are from last year. Should have beat them more than the score showed. the Rep's called two TD back,
a safety back for no reason. One run by Steele was 78 yards when he got at the fifty yard line a late flag was thrown at the line he started from.

Good win Raiders, surprised when they called out this score over the loudspeakers last night.

Looks like that HPC vs HPA matchup should be a real doozy.

Ouch. You might have under-estimated the Red Raiders Mr. Mule.
