Just a question I had read somewhere in a thread that during the next alignment that Reidsville may drop to 1AA or 1A is that accurate?

Reidsville enrollment might be up this year. I’m hoping no 1a. Is it true we are playing East Surry next year? I hope that isn’t the case
I’m hope not, either. Y’all would possibly never lose in 1A.This year y’all will beat Mt Heritage, and will probably play SWO in the state championship. Y’all simply do not have anyone to challenge you in the 2A west anymore. Lincolnton is simply down. The best western teams play in 2AA, so I hope The Mule is right about y’all possibly becoming 2AA this season. No shade, no redundant Shelby vs Reidsville stuff, just my opinion. Reidsville is no longer challenged in 2A West, period. Pencil you guys in to represent the 2A west every year. I would love to see you guys with the big boys, were you belong as a program, the best with the best, going through the likes of Shelby, Hibriten, South Point, North Davidson(Like you guys, they can go east or west, they’re really western, though), etc.

I still haven’t figured out how good this rams team is. Tonight will tell me. I think a Shelby reidsville match up would be a great game this year.
We have some issues right now, some concerns, but we’re no where near dead in water like some will lead you to believe. When you have highly successful programs like a Reidsville, a Shelby, programs that are accustomed to winning all the time, and you lose a couple of games, people are quick to write you off, say the well is running dry, or your program is down.
Losing just isn’t the norm for programs such as ours, and people will jump to conclusions. I still believe in this current team. Is it possible this is an off year? Yes, anything is possible. But, like you guys, we replace a veteran quarterback with a young, promising one. We lost a great tailback, and the greatest defensive player in SHS history. We lost an offensive lineman in a scrimmage, we’re replacing some valuable experience and leadership.
Word on the Curb... and the curb is right more than not... Reidsville will still be 2A for next realignment.

Mixed thoughts on the Reidsville ADM over the next few years.

But central office projections show Reidsville schools losing population in years to come.

Those posters who are writing the Golden Lions off will stop laughing if they have to meet up with Shelby in the playoffs this year. Even if the talent level is temporarily down the coaching will make them a team to be feared later this year.
And don't forget, even if they only win the conference, they will be seeded no lower than 7 or 8 (all conference champs seeded before second place finishers).
Realignment will be done in the Spring of 2020 (based on September 2019 ADM numbers) for the four years beginning Fall of 2021.
Not likely Shelby will win their conf. based on play so far.....they gotta beat South Point..............
I am told that South Point is not particularly strong this year either by you know who.
Here is an update on the Reidsville ADM situation.
The 2017 ADM was 743. The 2018 ADM will be less, probably in the 700-710 range.
The increase in numbers previously noted is for the eighth grade class.
So the expected 2019 ADM will most likely be in the 750 range, meaning Reidsville will once again be 2A for the 2020 realignment for the season beginning 2021.

Don't forget that it's very possible, like last year, than in the small 2A bracket, you could see a bunch of teams that typically are thought of as Eastern play in the West bracket....last year I believe you had South Columbus, realize that it's mathematically and geographically possible to also get Clinton, and maybe even Wallace-Rose Hill....of course with that said, you could see teams like Anson, Ledford, North Davidson, Forest Hills, West Stokes go in 2AA East...unless this year's ADM numbers come out a lot different

East Rutherford may give Reidsville a challenge this year. Not saying they will win but the playoffs may not be too boring for the Rams.
