Yeah....really sorry for 55 (Golden)...he's a leader on that line....maybe it's not as bad as it looked...but it looked like his knee.......here's hoping for the best for him............

Reidsville 7 17 7 0 – 31
Morehead 6 7 0 8 – 21

M – Jadakiss Jumper 42 pass from Will Dabbs (kick failed)
R – Willie Blackstock 1 run (Brad Green kick)
R — Brad Green 30 field goal
M – Jumper 73 pass from Dabbs (Kevin Jauregui kick)
R – James Rose 15 pass from Justin Jackson (Green kick)
R – Bryson Durham 15 interception return (Green kick)
R – Christian Goins 4 run (Green kick)
M – Mike Jones 4 pass from Dabbs (Jones pass from Dabbs)

Some pretty good numbers for these teams …
Willie Blackstock 90 yards rushing on 17 carries, Bryson Durham 8-58
Justin Jackson 13 of 19 passing with no picks for 127 yards, Tanner Wilson 4 of 7 for 16 yards
Jalen Foster 6 receptions for 61 yards

Morehead's Will Dabbs 11-of-25 for 218 yards … four interceptions (Christian Goins, Jalen Foster, Austyn Chestnut and Bryson Durham had picks for Reidsville)
Mike Jones 6 receptions for 76 yards, Jadakiss Jumper 3 for 122 yards.
Total yardage in game -- Reidsville 280, Morehead 231. Both teams lost some yardage with poor center snaps (Reidsville on a punt formation).
Morehead had five turnovers, Reidsville 0

Andrews lost its opener 28-21 to SW Guilford, played Ravenscroft tonight. Should be another good test for Reidsville.

No depth for Morehead. Might be panthers last good chance to beat Rams in a while. A senior laden team. And based on jv and middle school ... Not good outlook for Morehead. Rams much better tonight. Really controlled Morehead after first quarter except for one big scoring play. Built 31-13 lead in second half and kind of sat on ball. Looked more like I thought they should look. Still got a ways to go to get where we need to be. But we are getting there.

Rams looked good tonight...dropped passes are continuing...two big plays from Morehead and as usual the refs take two reidsville scores off the board...game was over when Rams went up 31-13 middle of 3rd...so much for that "Eden hype"...Good win Rams

HPA beat Ravenscroft something like 24-6....IF RSH can consistently start catching the football we could be a really dangerous team.....

First loss for Ravenscroft … Ravens had won its first two games -- 55-7 over Southern Vance and 21-7 over High Point Christian.

Great bounce back win for rockingham tonight. Beat up on e Randolph. Maybe rchs was why Rams looked so bad last week.

Injury situation for Reidsville is worrisome....55 (the most injured) and 23 along with a slew of other with minor hurts............prayers for all these guys ...................

They should continue to be really average as along as they leave 18 on the bench and have him hand off when he rarely does come in. Why? If not for those 2 interception returns and the Morehead center hiking it straight up everytime, Morehead wins that game with no bench and far less talent. Great game plan by Earl Bates.

Qb13 don't forget to factor in the 2 td'S that were called back on the rams. They were not going to win.

Nobody cares abt Rockingham traveling 3 counties to beat up on a 2a team that Reidsville owned for years...

I care. I'm starting to get a little worried about my Cats. It's one thing when a great program like Reidsville beats ER.....it's quite another when East Montgomery and The Rock hang 40+ on you. I know those Blue Comets are licking their chops right now.

Well I'm back couldn't stay away, love my Rams to much. All this talk of injuries got me smh. I hate it for foster he was starting to come into his own. Hope Golden make it back. Anybody know the severity of his injury. Can't replace golden, but we should have some kids to step in Fosters spot. Between Chestnut, Georgia, Abel, Hayes, activiting Hill and possibly moving the mendoza kid up. We could possibly feel the void of foster. But we can't have anymore injuries. The competition is about to get real we need to have a good intense practice from here on out.

Golden's injury is not to same knee that cut short his sophomore season.

Good win Rams just need to work on the drops we will be fine also think they sat on the lead remember it was coach Bates and i think #15 did well
Good win for sure. Morehead has one of its best teams in years and was coming off a pair of one-sided romps that had them thinking this is the year to beat Reidsville.

Well, based on my extensive lack of medical knowledge I would speculate that he suffered a hyperextended knee. Question is whether there is acl/mcl damage that means a recovery time of up to a month or so (with no acl/mcl damage) to a year (with damage).

Hate to see injuries anytime, but especially to seniors.

Well since you got the inside scoop with the coaches please let us know after you meet with them

The downside to playing 2A. Your best players usually plays both sides of the ball if the player get injured thats 2 positions you have to account for. In Reidsville's case we got 2 impact players injured, so thats 4 position we have to account for. The coaches are going to have to really work hard to find some players that want to step up. I say bring the Lawson kid up from JV and put in the offensive/ defensive line rotation. I thought he did pretty good on the OL against Rockingham, he will only get better.

Injuries happen sadly. It is part of the game. You play with who you have...win,lose, or draw. It should never be used as an excuse...A total team wins as has been proven before by both Reidsville and Andrews. It kind of sounds like it is being used already by a worried fan as a potential excuse...I hope the kids recover quickly.
