Yeah but it's been years since RC has had a lead on Reidsville especially late in the game..........................

Going to have to play a lot better next week. #41 needs to have some carries going forward, props to #18 leading the comeback, hope #15 is ok.

Penalties:
Reidsville flagged 14 times for 114 yards, Rockingham 6 for 53 yards

For Reidsville unsung hero … the second-team holder on field goals after Jackson went out with injury. A lot of pressure on the kicker for sure, but also on the long snapper and holder.

Tough night for #15. Need him healthy.

Did Rams score all of their 25 points with #18 at QB?
Rams first field goal was on drive led by Jackson - he had key 18-yard completion to Noel Cook in drive on a 3rd-and-15 play.

Rock played a good game..Refs gave Rockingham their first 9 points...no intentional grounding..next play Td...turnover on downs..phantom blow to the head down field..next play field goal...Refs are getting worse and worse ..good game Rockingham but close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades

There were some terrible calls by the refs in this one but you can't deny that the Cougars came to play and I don't think we were really ready....made plays at the end, but our D which played well at times, made some crucial mistakes....got to cut that out....................Morehead after spanking 2 teams by 34-0 and 46-0 scores will be licking their chops next week.......I suggest that the Rams strap their head gear on..........................................BTW...that RC football team was very well coached...hats off to them................................

15 got the last drive going with key pass and 2 runs before he got hurt I also agree rockingham was better prepared and ready to play everyone will always give us their best can't take anyone lightly............

Only really watched the last 6 minutes and OT. Rams took the momentum and looked pretty good. Gotta give the Cougars credit for getting Reidsville down and Reidsville credit for not quitting. May be a game that makes both teams better, Cougars for showing what they can do against Reidsville and Reidsville learning that they have to work hard for every opponent.

Great game to watch. Rockingham playing with more effort than we have ever seen. They seem to be well coached by the new staff. Reidsville showing the heart that is needed to get a come from behind win. Both teams will get better after this battle. After watching the film I'm sure that the Rams will make some position changes.

Best coached Rockingham team Ive ever seen. Coach Minor will do good things in Wentworth.

As far as the referees.... they were either incompetent or were truly corrupt and biased against the Reidsville players. Referees are supposed to call the game fairly, but these guys were obviously out to get the Ram from the opening whistle. I hope someone sends game tape to NCHSAA or whoever is in charge of those integrity lacking bush league "referees", and shows how blatant and one sided they were.

I guess it is from team prospective. I thought they made some bad calls both ways but 1:41 to go and Reidsville runs a long play and the clock never moves? Let's not take away from either of the teams. They played with lots of heart....

Find it hard to believe that both teams were flagged for illegal lineman downfield so much.......once Reidsville threw a quick slant for a big gain and it was brought back for that....bogus...no way could an interior lineman come off the line of scrimmage that quick....the next play the Rams threw an out pass that was picked off by RC and returned for a TD............

I see everyone is trying to sugar coat a near loss Rockingham We were down 19 -9 in the 4th to Rockingham had to come back to win in overtime. Rockingham is not a good team an improved team yes but still not good, they have alway been a disciplined team. Reidsville has always been a team that receives lots of flags never stop them for winining or blowing a team out before. I dont consider Playing with a bunch of Juniors as being young, sophmores and Freshmans are young. As of right now Reidsville is not a state contending team the talent is there just like last year but certain things have to be addressed, the only few issues i will mention on here is that Chestnut kid have to start, he's the only true playmaker as far as wide receivers go (his size dont matter) everyone else are possession receivers. The Durham kid if fast and elusive, but he's not a between the tackle back, you got the Goins and Blackstock kid for that. You got 2 "starting" QB's the Jackson and wilson kid. Jackson is also the second best Linebacker behind Cook, but guess what the other 6'1 210 QB wilson can also play linebacker but never do. When one QB is in the other needs to be rotating at linebacker to give Durham and Blackstock a break. We're a 2A football team playing key players both ways is a chance you have to take especially when your all your backs are also starting Linebackers and your best linebacker is also your top possession receiver. Running routes down field then have to turn around and chase people down like Mr Cook does going take a toll on him down the stretch. Im confident that the coaches will make the nessasary adjustments. Because in the end I can assure you the defense isnt going to keep us from going to states the offense is. Another thing, you have a 175 - 180lbs kid playing on the offensive line (starting) he was on rollerskates all night long. He needs to come in off the bench for relief. The Hayes kid (i think he plays H Back or Receiver) he needs to be more involved in the rotation, because everytime he gets in he is productive. We almost lost to Rockingham just let that sink in. 2012 when Reidsville played 9 sophmores (we were young) we knew it was going to be a dog fight with them because they were a senior dominant team and had great runningbacks and OLine but the kids pulled it out. No excuse for this year non whatsoever. we wasnt prepared, the kids wasnt prepared. I just hope last friday was a wake up call to the players and Coaches. Some might disagree with what I said but this is fans page where fans come and talk about the game and give opinions about what should and shouldnt be. We bout lost to Rockngham...... did i say we bout lost to Rockingham . Could have been to biggest upset of the year. It would have been very hard for the kids to mentally rebound from that.

I think one thing that everyone is overlooking is dropped passes rockingham was good but we made a lot of mistakes and two "starting" QBs is not the answer..we have neve done that no matter how close in talent they always went with the senior no matter what challenges and it's not fair to them... Can't get a rhythm going

I agree with Stan on most of his points. I want to see how Wilson does running the offense if he does well, I think we should move #15 to lb maybe, maybe should look at #41 starting at rb and still rotating him at lb. 30 and 8 are good backs, we have 3 good backs and two good qbs. I agree on chestnut he should start somewhere and be on kick return. I'm sure the coaching staff will make some adjustments.

the fact that a kid is a senior is not the defining reason to start at a position..................never heard anyone use that reason in the past when an underclassman played a position instead of a senior.

I was very much in favor of seniors starting my senior year for Coach Isaacs.

Of course, if that had happened, we would not have been nearly as good.

Hopefully you got the ceremonial start on senior night!

I just wish they would name a starter and stick with it it will be better for the team and the playcalling this rotating quarterback isn't the answer

At any position if two players ability level are the same you should go with the younger player, because you will have him in the following years and he will be better for having that experience later in his career.

Coach Isaacs did not believe in courtesy starts for seniors. At least, not way back when.

I usually see a couple of our football coaches each week. I will pass along the many helpful suggestions from this board and let everyone know their responses.

Or maybe I will have to censor some of them.:(

Let's not have a quarterback controversy. Both are very capable and alternating QBs can work out just fine.

I think what he's saying is when you have two players that's equal the

They didn't have two starting qb when it was crews/doe (both state champoins) they didn't have two starting QB'S when it was Houghton/butchee (both state champions) Why now? You can't get any rythm that way. It's either or. Who should start is up too the coaches , but only one QB should get the reps. If the coaches are going to stick with both QB rotating then both should be rotating on defense also not just jackson. Some people from down that way told me wilsons a good LB too.

Not saying he should be the stater just because he's a senior.... Just saying he has waited his turn knows the offense and hasn't done anything to lose it he should get the same opportunity as the other QB.....just like ranking said that's not what happened last year or years before that check the history.....rotating QB doesn't help either one no rhythm or confidence or chemistry.... and to go with the younger if that was what happened last year.....transfers don't always pan out no disrespect ijs

FWIW, a Reidsville defensive coach told me that Wilson had never played defense in his two years at S. Alamance.

Of course, maybe he didn't know what he was talking about.;)
