I've never been to that website but from everything I've read on here it sounds like I'm not missing anything.
Who on staff made the thread? Out of the first 50 responses to threads they deleted or modified 4. All were very civil. Yes, I was civil. I know its hard to believe. Don't ever say anything about a coach no matter how harmless or the coaching profession. Never come behind an admin person with factual corrections.
I usually stay away from there. They're much to serious. I respect them for what they do for the kids, but it's just so different there, and in an odd way. Plus, you never know when some hacker has taken the whole place down. They do a good service, I'll give them that respect.
Sounds like everyone should just stay on NCPreps and go away from that website all together.

Beat our tails? We were winning with about 30 seconds to go.....did you actually go to that one? QB got injured in the first series...maybe even the first play from scrimmage....we should have won going away.....lost 32-29...memory coming back??? Don't discredit that edition of the Lions....they were a tough bunch.

Kinston beat us in the regional final in 2011 when they launched a 40 yard Hail Mary on the last play of the game....Yuuck...We dominated the game but lost it on that last play....Kinston then proceeded to lay an egg versus West Stokes the next week.....just curious what other site were on you?? carolinapreps??

Nah, they didn't lay an egg. The refs appeared to be from King, NC, along w/ West Stokes, it seemed. Kinston had tds called back and numerous penalties called against them. It was disturbing watching them get hosed like that.
Kinston did have some untimely penalties in the game but the refs were not from King. It was a special group from West Stokes that year that was led by a quarterback that played with a shoulder injury all year. He waited till after basketball season to have the surgery and won mvp at the Frank Spencer classic. On passes over 25 yards his cousin would come in and he made plays against Shelby in the western finals. The last four games West was the underdog but the read option behind that line was hard to stop. In the Shelby game everybody in the stadium knew Fleming was going to run it right side but couldn't stop it.
I think the bad thing for Kinston in this game with Shelby is their strengths play into Shelby's hands. I don't think they can out athlete the Lions. Congrats to both teams for making it to the championship and to make it this far they both have to be good.

Dominated the game?
Kinston was up at halftime. It was a great game between two great teams that ended with one heck of a play.
Losing 21 to 14 with 2 or 3 touchdowns called back is not laying an egg. Just to set the record straight.
