I can tell you PG has talent. They just got issues. I seen some bad sportsmanship last game toward some of the PG coaches from a PG player. I am sure that will get dealt with. (I hope so. If not season over) I can say I am really impressed with Coach Brown. That man has heart and enthusiasm. PG players look at that guy and let him be your example. Maybe they can get it together before conference play. Good luck Patriots.

I'm sorry , I should have said ,Mr. Powerhand , what are you talking about concerning RHS????

Randolph County goes in waves and the fact that they have split talent has hurt them. Eastern Randolph and Trinity before the split were both on the cusp of being 4A and Randalman was close to being 3A. ER was the best team in the county and Trinity under Gillespie was very respectable. I do not think that Randolph County wanted schools that large, but you would have had 2 4 A schools ER and Trinity and 3 3A schools in Asheboro, Randalman and SW Randolph. But anyway back to what i was saying, talent in that county seems to go in cycles so maybe it is a down cycle.

Don't know about RHS or PG but have been to every ERHS game so maybe can shed a little light on their situation. This team lost 16 seniors from last year. 7 of those were listed on roster as OL. Starting 2 sophomores on OL who are learning on the job at varsity level. This year's squad has 9 seniors on current roster, 15 juniors, 15 sophomores and 7 freshmen. In addition they lost all conference OLB and TE for the year and all conference 4 yr starting MLB was out until last week. Don't know how they will do once conference starts but if OL starts to develop they should improve on offense. Defense is a work in progress as they struggle to get healthy or find right combinations. They are working on it but only time will tell.

Sort of an update on ERHS and PG. ER beat an admittedly down South Stanly team 56-0 last night. Defense was solid and offense looked better however still a little shaky in passing game. PG beat Jordan Matthews 27-26. JM coming in having played against mostly 3A teams and a good West Montgomery squad. We'll see if both can build on last night.
