Raiders take down national champs
DAVENPORT, Fla. — The 14u Richmond Raider Youth football team took down the Apopka (Fla.) Raptors — the defending national champions — by a score of 13-7 in the second round of the AAU National Championship games Friday afternoon.
Richmond plays twice Saturday, its first game scheduled for 1 p.m. with a 4 p.m. game to follow. If the Raiders win those two games, they will play in the National Championship game at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 18.
Richmond defeated the East Orlando Jr. Predators in 28-14 in the opening round.
