QUESTION

Listed at 4-6. They still have to play Swain tonight, correct?

Roberson had played 6 games before Robbinsville.

This is what was sent out by NCHSAA:

Special Provision

The Board approved one (1) additional contest for all sports with a season limit. To exceed the season limit of contests, the following conditions must be met:

  • Prior approval from NCHSAA
  • The contest cannot exceed the daily or weekly limitations
  • The contest must exceed the season limit for both schools
  • The contest MUST NOT be entered into MaxPreps

It want exceed the limit for TC and it was entered in MaxPreps.

If a game’s result is reported to Maxpreps by one school, is it automatically entered into the Maxpreps record for the opponent? Can one school report it for RPI purposes and not the other?

And wth are they going to do about having 11 games on the RPI dumb a$$????

Buzz, this is a perfect example of your arrogance and your ignorance. You show your ignorance by not understanding that the game had to be approved before it was scheduled (it was one of the criteria listed). You show your ignorance by not realizing that the state would be flexible in scheduling these due to the events in WNC. You show your arrogance in that you feel as if you are owed an explanation. I hate to break it to you, but your not.

On a side note, your strings really are easy to pull. One comment and you lose control and resort to childish name calling. Just a suggestion but perhaps change your name to buzzed puppet.

I heard it wasn’t approved from somebody up in Robbinsville. So who knows?

TCR had played 6 games until they played Robbinsville. So does the win count for TCR and doesn’t count as a loss to Robbinsville since they playing Swain tonight for their 10th game?

What I have heard (and take it with a grain of salt) is that it was approved and that it will count for TC but not for Robbinsville. I have heard no official report.

Your the idiot that doesn't realize its on rpi record and on maxpreps. So yeah smarty man after tonight Robb will have 11 games that count on rpi and max preps. NCHSAA can approve it all they want you still have a problem with it counting.

Then why has it already counted on rpi. Shows robb 4-6 that's 10 games and playing 11th tonight.

Pulled that string again. BTW, do you really think the state will have a problem since that are the ones that determines the policies and procedures to be followed? Also your reply indicated that someone(perhaps me) called you an idiot. No one did, did you feel like someone should have?

Yes. They definitely should have.

I don't know, but here is my speculation. It is there so that it can be used to calculate TCR's RPI. Then it can be dropped while their RPI is determined. Just a guess, but it would meet the states desire to try to provide as "normal" a seeding process for the schools that were impacted.

I imagine it will be updated and dropped from Robbinsville rpi. Can't have 11 games. Not that it really matters a whole lot.

Gotta say... I think all this is pretty hilarious.
Why? B/c up until just a few years ago, pretty much every school in NC played an 11-game schedule for YEARS.

This morning the RPI has Mountain Heritage slightly I mean 10 thousandths ahead of Murphy (.64626 vs. 64619.) However, the Robbinsville's TC Roberson loss is in there and the win vs. Swain is listed as not reported.

Murphy is going to be upset if this holds. Could mean playing in Burnsvlle area vs. Murohy.

the RPI just changed for both Murphy and Mountain Heritage, and Mountain Heritage has gained more. .64711 vs. .64682

Robbinsville win against Swain added. TC loss was not dropped! Robbinsville WP should be .5 if TC Roberson's loss was dropped., but it is .4545. Just win against Swain was added this morning.

If the TC Roberson loss is dropped from Robbinsville's RPI, does Murphy jump Heritage for the #2 seed again?

Very myopic viewpoint. Perhaps you should remember the reason for this situation, trying to return some normalcy to people whose world was devastated.
I understand but NCHSAA still needs to drop it feom the rpi on ROBB aide bc it does effect the out come some. Do you not understand that?????

My understanding is far beyond yours. Have you considered that it is being shown to calculate TCR's RPI and then they will recalculate Robbinsville 's RPI? Finally, can you not understand that this is people trying to make the best out of an imperfect situation. The SMC will be impacted more than anyone, do you see any SMC person demanding answers? No. Sometimes you just have to trust that people will do their best and accept the results.
