Cool thanks!! I have one question though and idk who would know. Pisgah and North both have 2 losses in conference and split head to head so if pisgah wins the conf tourney would we take the top seed from our conference?

Need to switch Hickory Ridge at the 4MW and Robinson at the 5MW. They did tie with them during regular season, but Robinson actually got the 2 seed because they beat Cox Mill twice and HR split with them.

Conference seeding doesn't matter unless its a 1 seed. If they tied head to head, then it goes to overall winning percentage and then to maxpreps. That seeding only mattered for conference tournament

You are correct Eagles/Trojans13.

Welcome to the new NCHSAA seeding process, where nonconference counts same as in, except you can drop some of those losses for seeding purposes?

Now why should that be? Kind of goes against new rules huh?

Sorry sometimes I think too much.

If Im not mistaken they're only dropping out of conference due to the hurricane/football playoffs....otherwise they would have all counted?

Not exactly, NCHSAA uses best 22 game record for all sports except for 10 games for Football; and all games, Tennis, Wrestling and Lacrosse. Which means you can drop losses from noncon if you played more than 22 total.

However this year they are using 20 game for basketball I believe due to hurricane/football playoffs. So if your schedule was not changed due to hurricane/football playoffs you could drop quite a few games to get to 20 game mark.

Best 20 game winning percentage and you can't drop conference losses. There are some teams that have all of their losses in conference and thus they have to drop wins o_O

It is conference winning % per NCHSAA

my question:James in the tiebreaker is it conference winning % or overall winning %

James: Depends on what part of the process of seeding you’re talking about.

For getting into the playoffs, the tiebreaker is conference %

For seeding, it is H2H then MaxPreps Ranking at the time of seeding.

Nice explanation except conference winning percentage comes after H2H and the adding back in of nonconference losses that were dropped to break tie.

Thanks
