A member of East Surry's basketball team was involved in a very serious accident this afternoon. Gage Edwards is a member of the basketball team and as well as playng for the football and baseball teams at East. Today has been a difficult day in Pilot and we are all praying for you Gage.

With a heavy heart the news is not good. Gage Edwards passed away today. Such a tragic loss. He was so full of energy and played his heart out in all of the sports. East will have 1 more angel looking down over them.
Please pass along condolences from the folks on the mountain. It is such a tragic thing when we lose a young one that had so many things to look forward to in life. Our thoughts and prayers will go out to his family, his classmates, and your entire community during this time of loss.
