I read on another web site that Hoggard ran up the score in their win over Orange. I hate to hear that since I have always respected Hoggard and how they play the game. I was surprised to see Coach Underwood would do that, especially since he was associated with Coach Braswell for several years as a player and a coach. Braswell was one of the classiest coaches not only in the county, but the state of North Carolina. I know coaches want to put their own stamp on a program, but winning with class should always be somewhere near the top of the list. Congratulations to the Vikings for a big win, but wish running up the score was not part of the conversation.

I don't know if the back ups were in or not ... portcity might know more about what happened . They said on the other message board that Hoggard scored a TD instead of taking a knee with one second left in the game. The Hoggard Vs Orange highlights (2nd game) are below and the Orange head coach didn't seem like he cared too much for that last touchdown.

I do not like what Hoggard did but I do not feel I have the whole story. The game was getting chippy at the end and the Orange players were gassed and frustrated. Hoggard was imposing their will at that point. Wilson hit a kid late and threw him out of bounds drawing a penalty then celebrated it on the field. The Orange sideline and fans showed their support. Wilson also horse collared a runner right in front of the ref and no call was made. Their was a lot of trash talking going on. Maybe Underwood was somehow telling his players that he had their backs, I do not know. The starters were still in on both sides. Hoggard could have taken a knee but ran not 1 but 2 plays to score. We the fans are surely use to the Braswell way and he would have never done that but this isn't his team anymore and for all I know this staff may want more of an edge with these players. It shows on the O line, they are not that big but do play physical and a bit nasty which I feel is a good thing.

It is not Hoggard's job to stop themselves. Period. If the 2s were in then I'm totally fine, if the 1s were in maybe Hoggard wanted to stick it to Orange for what port described over, which I am all in favor of especially if a team is pulling that crap.
