Whats the pros and cons of going away from the POD system in High School basketball? I went back through the playoffs last year and other than a couple of matchups it really didn't change who would be playing. I am sure there were mistakes on my part but for the most part I didn't see a big change. I had still Albemarle vs Mt Airy in the second rd etc. The majority of change was in the middle seeds. Any thoughts?
My initial opinion was it would be great because it would level out the competition of the brutal midwest but after digging into it alittle bit I was wrong I believe. It seems like the travel will be more now with no pros on the competition angle.
Like I said I am sure I made some mistakes and I am sure it would be alittle different than what I drew up.
