Pinecrest Football Equipment Stolen

Wonder if they had already been customized or were still blank/new? Assuming blank or it wouldn't be worth stealing.

Probably a player or someone who works or did work or play there . That they made mad and is out to Revenge

See here you have to ask some questions
1- was there alarm in the building? If so how did he or them get out so quick
2- how did they know where to look?
3- not that it matters was it old are new Helmets
4- why did they only take the helmets
5- I wouldn’t think it would be someone who just done it to see if they could get away from it. Because how many people are on the street looking to buy a helmet. And obviously they would be to big for a little League team.
its someone mad and trying to get back at someone are just a Prank

This all sounds fishy n it’s is a disgrace to steal from a football program n the kids

Will be interesting if someone is caught

I know where I work at years ago there were couple people stealing stuff from the company. Upper management caught them selling on Ebay. Crazy

I have heard helmets are in short supply right now but as I said I'm willing to bet the culprit is trying to outfit their own organization.

There hasn't been a single mention of security cameras. This covert operation is contingent on where they parked, hiked from, and loaded all of the helmets. They need to be able to get to the roads. There are woody regions on both sides. The question is, where are the cameras in this area?

High-value equipment must be kept locked and safe at all times. If there aren't any security cameras on the Field House building or inside, or within, I'll be astonished.

Outside of any solid witnesses, security cameras on and off campus will be their greatest option for locating these offenders.

That wasnt a one or two man operation to move 70 helmets that far

Thank you very much for providing the link. I didn't even bother trying to open it from the top. If they didn't see the license plate or any other indicator of significance on that van through the camera lense, I'm sure he stopped at a McDonald's or a gas station nearby.

I'm sure investigators have collected more than enough evidence by this point. They are now observing his every step from outside his establishment.

What the heck would you do with 70 Pinecrest helmets? Not many companies that could buy them or do reconditioning without knowing where they came from or am I completely wrong? Possibly could be a person that just wants to watch the world burn and they stole them and they're laying in a ditch somewhere between there and Scotland/Richmond County.

There are cons everywhere. You have to ask was these new or old helmets and if old maybe they could have gotten stolen for insurance reason to get new . Maybe the boost club and funding not there like it use to be . It could be many things. But I have to say I hope law enforcement are doing there job because finding a blue van like that can’t be that hard to find . Also the man didn’t cover his face well . You got remember this is 2022 not the 1800 Technology is great to scan ppl out

Don't think they are setting up an "inside heist" for insurance purposes. Person with inside information seems very likely.

Well looks like the thief wasn’t from Scotland or Richmond county. This is what happens when you assume..

"Moore County Schools Police would like to thank the community members who assisted in identifying the suspect that was pictured in the Feb. 2 press release"

How did Moore County citizens know who he was?
Did he work at the school?
Or did one or more people observe the situation as it happened?

Moore County or High Point community citizens?

Rarely have I witnessed assumption turn into facts.

The arrest article said black helmets which are the best base colors besides white helmets. Helmet parts are super valuable too. Its dumb crime, but if you have football coaching sense you know helmets are hard to come by right now, and new certified helmets are cream of the crop. My guess is he had another program/group lined up to use/buy the helmets.
