The mountain is on the Southeast side of the town while the school is on the Northwest side. The fire is currently only on the mountain, but it has already burnt over 180 acres and is still going strong. The last I heard about an hour ago is that firefighters are struggling to contain because of the wind & how dry the ground is. Last night they thought they could keep it under 100 acres but that has not happened.

Latest I heard up to 300 acres has been burned and getting up to the main knob. Prayers out for these fire fighters having to deal with this situation.
We definitely need some rain. Can't remember the last time we had a good soaking rain that lasted a day or two. Just fortunate this is happening now and not in 95 degree July/August heat.
