Clash of different style offenses. Page has been playing better defense as of late, and Wake Forest plays into Page's defensive strength. Any thoughts on this one?
Page lost to Dudley 35 - 7 and lost to East Forsyth 31 - 30. They haven't shown up enough in the big games.
Yes, Page did unravel against Dudley during the last half of the 4th quarter. but the game was 7-7 for a long time, and 13-7 well into the 4th. If Page doesn't muff a punt they have the ball and are in business looking to go up by a point. Also, the Page/EF game everyone will basically say it was pretty even.
I saw Page several times and Page played great game against Dudley until late in 4th Q. Dudley would beaten just about 90 percent of the teams that night. Their defense played lights out the whole game. I be honest with you, Dudley would have beaten Richmond that night. Dudley played inspired ball the whole game especially defense and offense did what they had to do. Any team could not sleep on Dudley.
Page is a fine fine football team and they will do just fine in the playoff. I figure that Page would do better in Eastern bracket. Hey any team can beat a much better team on any given night. It all depends how the kids perform and health issues could be in play such as injury or anything that could affect skilled players. Throw out the scores....Playoff is whole different ball of wax! Heck , I remember that one team lost to another team badly on last Friday of the regular season and following week, they meet again. The losing team previously week upset the winner. The losing team put in different offense during the practice before playoff game and it paid off. I think It was Davie county or some team in Central Piedmont.

page can throw jump balls to overton on any giving night and score. I'm not sure why they don't do it 6 times a game. The kid is 6'5" and has pretty good hands and can move after he gets it. Fade and back shoulder WF to death and play decent D and you win.
Page by 4 here, Wake Forest's domination of the 4AA East comes to an end. I think Page/Richmond in the 3rd round would be one helluva game!!

What I mean that night when they play Page......not the night when they played Richmond on Monday on a rainy night. Richmond DID beat Dudley that night and Richmond played extremely well. I do know that Dudley played far better on Page night than Richmond night. I saw both games and you PAULRAIDERFAN didn't.
I firmly believe if Dudley and Richmond play ten times, Dudley will win a bit more but not much probably 7-3 or 6-4. They are evenly matched in most part of the game. The reason why I pick Dudley ahead is their defense. Richmond could not do a darn tootin' thing in second half against Dudley. They figure out what you guys were doing. Richmond is a fine fine football team and so is Dudley. In a way, this year would be great if all 4A play in same bracket, THAT WOULD BE FUN! In the past, there were no questions who were best in 4A .....it happens to be in larger 4A (AA) but I think Dudley or CC could win the whole thing this year. Now next year probably not...... Also remember...that Dudley only scored one offensive TD, the other was via a fake punt!

Again.....Dudley offense was much better on Page Night. Both team Richmond and Dudley would have done better in dry weather. I suspect Dudley would have been better off than Richmond. We will never know and let it rest. IMO, Dudley is a better team than Richmond but not by much.
I feel your pain mactazheels!! So, I guess if it didn't rain in the State Championship game in 2013 Scotland would have won!! The rain killed the Scotland O!! But, the best team won that night just as Richmond beat Dudley!! Richmond is the better team in 2015!!! The rain probably hurt Richmond more than it did Dudley!!
That is your opinion Viking1504. I saw few games by Dudley and they play much better in dry weather this year. (2013 was whole different ball of wax....no ONE would beat Dudley that year) I am sure Richmond would play better in dry weather too ....shoot just about all team would. I think it affected more on Dudley than Richmond. Dudley is pretty darn fast but not as good as 2013. This year playoff is going to be a great one both classes. Page only score 7 points in dry weather that night and Page is a better team than that. They were shut down big time. I feel that Dudley defense did not play well in first half and that gives credit to Richmond. Dudley defense is built on speed and rain affected them. Let hope both team does well in playoff and go from there.
Nobody would beat Dudley 2013? Come on man! Mallard Creek would have given them some serious problems. Dudley had a hard time putting away Charlotte Catholic. Final Score 20-15. Mallard Creek vs Charlotte Catholic 52-7 with a running a clock in the 4th. You do the math.

Dudley 2013 vs. Mallard Creek 2013 would have been a great game. I watched both teams play in their State Championship games that year, and in their scrimmage before the 2014 season. Creek has the depth and a plethora of talent, but Dudley is a strong, well conditioned team that plays fast. Would've been a hell of a match-up then, and would be now too.
As for Dudley vs. Richmond 2015. The elements definitely played a factor in the outcome for both teams. It was a sloppy game and I'm not sure if the best team won that night.
Page wont be able to keep Lawrence and Gill off of Will Jones. He's a good up and coming QB but pressure will lead to mistakes. Though undefeated, Wake Forest has played a weak schedule. They haven't even played a game outside of Wake County and they will be tested this week. Should be a great game.
