I miss Owen being good too. I'm glad to see them turning things around and hopefully back to success soon. Had some epic battles against the Warhorses back in the day against some Kenny Ford coached teams!

I remember when Owen first joined the WHC and basically dominated it for several yrs. some of the best rbs I’ve seen play in the WHC were at Owen.( Kemp, Gibbs, Gardner, many more but I’m old and blanking). Owen being back in top form is a welcome sight for any WHC fan. Rather try to beat a great Owen team than a down one. With Avery hopefully turning it around with their new coach, Owen back to form, Polk back on track, we can get back to the days when every conference game was a battle. Good luck horses.
Look, I like Heritage and Mitchell for that matter but Owen has done more than those 2 schools combined in there History. Heritage made it to state which Owen hasn't but beyond that not really anything else. We have been down the last 4 years, no doubt about it and we might lose to ACR, Heritage and Mitchell this year but I think we have a shot at beating all of them as well. It wont be what it's been being. I don't think East is a world beater and frankly I dont think we played very well in several aspects vs them but it was the first game too. When we get our entire team back to health and back from suspension it's going to get interesting. You dont have to believe Owen is anything this year, heck sleep on them, but dont cry if they beat your team. Calm down for goodness sakes. You sound like you are having a break down or are in fear of the run being over or something. The days of Heritage being the basement dweller are over so even if Owen is back, Heritage isnt going anywhere.
Also Padgett is growing as a coach and he doesnt suck. He followed a legend which in many ways is harder than going to a program like Joey inherited at Heritage. Heritage stunk and there were no expectations and face it he could only go up, but his record sucked for many years. Heck he just recently got over .500 in his career record. Joey is a good coach and nobody will dispute that now but early on I'm sure even the Heritage faithful would admit that they thought he sucked. Padgett just needed the kids to buy into his system and they now have. They are in good hands as far as concerned.
Bro better be careful what you wish for. Like it or not owen is on the rise, the league is stronger polk will be better this season. Heritage is the favorite still someone can knock them off be careful, overlook them teams will pay for it this season.
