This was supposed to be a game West could win at the start of this year. But since they're more like South than West nowadays, OG will win. Not because of talent but because of coaching.
West JVs did beat OG last year. But it’s a different story this time around.
Did I also hear correctly that West used a few juniors in that game? Just verifying.
West Davidson coach after the game: “despite the loss, we played our best game of the season. The kids are getting better and we may never get over the hump, but I like our heart and effort. I’m not into moral victories but this is a game we can build on and hopefully be good one day.”

My favorite one was when he said after the North Davidson game that they played better in a blowout than they did in a close loss against East. I know East and North are two different animals, but talk about putting your foot in your mouth... Still can't get over that.

Yes, West did let some of their varsity play that night last season. Other teams did too, but I don’t really have a problem with it. With no varsity game, it’s an okay thing,
What I'm saying is West used players with more development. Now that the situation is a bit more even with Oak Grove having a year to develop, that advantage will be all but nullified.
All out of moral victories I see. Hard to come up with one against a school with three grades.
West passed much more than I thought they would. Connected on A couple of long passes... but no real urgency to finish a drive. West has a very good kicker. He had one FG of about 30 yards. They safety came about when the OGHS quarterback took a nap and forgot where he was.
