Hibriten- absorb the challenge now cause it gets easier in conf play
Hunter Huss- past couple years they've been tough and this year and this particular game should be no exception
Maiden- Foard has beaten Maiden less than 4 or 5 times in 50 plus years, Maiden shouldn't be as good as last year, Foard has improved, but I see Maiden by 21. No brainer to say the least.
West Iredell- must be improved this year to be projected to finish higher than normal. Loaded with Athletes all the time.
West Lincoln- Draughn usually beats these guys, I'll go on a limb on this one. A skinny limb at that. Could go either way I believe.
West Caldwell- in the 80s and SOME of the 90s this would be the one to see. New coach and no Athletes will be the Cavs downfall. Not knocking bad on my alma mater but it's Hildebran and ICard boys, it is what it is. Hoping for an upset but on paper it ain't happening.

Well they dooooo play Foard and West Iredell so there's that chance too. Also Bunker Hill if they're anything like last year.
I think we all come to a conclusion that Hibriten at the top, almost certain Patton second but in all honesty the rest is a toss up. We just have fun with it and have good predictions as to what may take place.
This may be the year Draughn gets a win on EB. Does someone know the series record between the two?? You'd think I'd know but I don't. That's why we have forums
I can remember a couple times they were state ranked. 05' 06' time frames. They can be a powerhouse at least 3 or 4 times in a 10 year time span. Have the same type of athletes n speed that Statesville and South Iredell usually carries. No doubt they will be strong again but this year may be a starting point, be a decent team but not a great team just yet.

I think Cat. Co is pretty lax about transferring at the schools....in years past there were a lot of BH kids that went to Bandys for football.....not sure about now, i just don't think they have gotten a coach who wants to put in any effort to improving the program.....BH is a small area they excel in Baseball and a little in Softball and Track but not much else.
Makes sense. When I see track results it's like dang these are the RBs and wideouts and they get stuffed every single year? But from a source I hear these track athletes that would prob make a huge difference don't even come out.

EB and W Iredell: a winnable game for the poor little Cavs who have been stomped past few weeks til a needed lucky win against W Lincoln. WIredell has athletes and speed, always does. Could come down to who wants it more and least amount of mistakes but I give WI the edge by 7. Should EB play soild defense who knows. Only game in conf tomm night that can go either way ha ha.
Patton and Draughn: Draughn suffering, low numbers, Pattons rushing attack, no Brainer. Patton by 28 or more.
Foard and Bunker Hill: no wasting time with this one. Foard also by 28 or more. One of the more predictable games along with Pattons game.
HIBRITEN off- I hope they worked on their emergency passing game cause they'll need it for the playoffs.
Don't figure many post will be added cause it's gonna be a slow week for this conf. Anyone got s better game to see that game hops like I do go
See if Hickory can make a stand against Freedom.

Coaching is definitely lacking at Bunker Hill. It is like they don't even wanna be out there on Friday nights. They have the talent in the school to win some games but with the coach there right now no body wants to play. Hopefully they start to steer the ship in the right direction after this season.
Conference is just plain bad. Hibriten vs Patton should be a good game at the end of the year. This week Alexander vs Watauga should be the best game around.
There are athletes at BH, they just choose not to play FB. Until they get a coach who wants to change the tradition and culture, they will not improve. Boosters need to pony up $$ as well to improve things. There is $$ in the BH area.
Couldn't agree more. Foard might hang around for a quarter but that's bout it. Well, nah, North Lincoln was beating them 19 zip before they clawed back and embarrassed em so they may be improved more and hang out for a quarter

I doubt it’ll be a game considering Patton ran through them like a dumb truck in an action movie however Patton is the one team in this “garbage” conference that’s gonna give Hibriten a fit in the rushing attack. Foard is much better than they usually are. I saw an improvement last year when they played South Caldwell. Given South still had a couple weapons left from the really good team of 2 years ago so they kept it interesting in the matchup and I knew just seeing them last year that no body better sleep on them this year. Hibriten won’t have much to worry bout but was getting ready to say every else watch out but Patton done handed them the L
I was told Foard is a sound well coached team that just lacks speed. I don't see this being a game for that reason. Honestly it will take a very good offense to score on Hibriten and a good D to stop Gee and company. I hope we work on our passing game because eventually it will be needed.

Yeah man they should have the wideouts to make for a successful passing attack. Can’t go playing Butch Carter style ball and expect to beat everybody LOL. Works good against everybody around here til Shelby or N Davidson, SP or even Franklin shows up.
Foard may be slow but they’ve had a few 100 meter dash stars here and there over the years
I guess that kinda reminded me and this may be a tiny bit off the subject but is Hibriten reloaded to make some noise this year in track? The sprinters are usually the wideouts, RBs and DBs, O and D linemen the shotdisc while the distance runners are cross country people with maybe a soccer player or 2.
Graduated a couple sprinters and Thrower still have a few sprinters and hurdler.

Passing game needs lots of work... Over the next 4 weeks should try it in game action as much as possible
U guys took the sails right out of Foard. Maybe they were brought back to reality. All these wins by huge margins and looking back at the Newton game wow, all you can say is wow. You guys actually played a great team and it shows they’ve went from below avg to a high seed. Hibriten has nothing in the way of playoffs let’s be honest but with Patton I wouldn’t sleep on em but I can see a 21 pt game, something closer than what yall see every friday.

That will be their homecoming. 15 17 years ago this would be ideal ha ha. Hibriten has had seasons like Draughn and EB are currently having.
The fans still travel well knowing the outcome is pretty much a given in my opinion.... I for one would not be at some of these games if I didn’t have someone associated with the school... I would be going to more competitive games in the area(example.. I would of went and watched AC and Freedom this past week instead of being at Hibriten
Let's be honest, I've never actually found a good reason to drive to Burke Co........
Well I hope u at least came out and watched Independence play East Burke back in 07’ ha ha. Too bad they didn’t have that massive amount of players suspended before that game instead of the next. EB would have a state champ banner possibly.
Until my son starts playing for someone which will be a LONG while I’ll be at the competitive games or a church revival. I feel ya man
