WRH had 5 turnovers, one at our own 2. Havelock still only scored three times. Sounds like to me the dogs defense is everything advertised. I think it was easy 252 that said WRH offense was going to be exposed. Not sure that was the case also. Offense got to step up and hold on to the ball. NS Jax is better than last year , and that game could of went the other way. 35 - 14 bulldogs.

Toss up, crazy enough WRH needs this victory to at least keep it's appearance of superiority. I think Wallace has it in them, but another loss to a top program. Ummm

Time for WRH to have a dominate performance!!

21-14 WRH

I saw Northside play Hanover. They are big and #6 is as good as advertised (commited to UNC ). Hanover having a 2 platoon system was definitely an advantage. The monarchs showed a lot of heart. Should be a good one. I certainly wouldn't bet on this one either way.

This is another tough draw for the dogs. The Monarchs have a pro style offense and have the size and the playmakers to run it efficiently. They look to go vertical in the pass game and pound the middle in the run game setting up play action. As for the dogs I don't think they will have the same mistakes on offense they did against Havelock and I'm sure coach Mots has studied film on the Monarchs and will spend extra time with his defensive secondary this week to clean some stuff up. I think the dogs will be tough against the run this week but they will have to prove they can cover receivers deep because the Monarchs will look to test them in that area. On offense the dogs will have to rely on misdirection and speed to keep the Monarchs D off balance in the wing t. I think they can find some yards on the edge if they use the misdirection effectively. If the Monarchs can find success early in the vertical passing game it will be a long night for the dogs. If the dogs can methodically run the ball and limit the Monarchs chances on offense they have a chance for the win. I think this game will come down to which offense can show their dominance over the opposing teams D. I'm going with the dogs 28-21

NS is a good team that shouldnt be taken lightly. Hopefully a good full game week of practice will fix whats broken. Dogs in a close one 14-10

I’m sure the college scouts will be at this one. Has Dobson or Roberts started hearing from any schools yet?

Havelock is much better than NSJ. I would be very surprised if WRH didn’t win this game

I'm a havelock fan, and NS is the team I fear the most in our conference this yr... I'm on record saying several times I think they will win the conf this yr
The video don't lie. Monarchs look tough! Their offense will put alot of pressure on whoever they play. They hung in against a very good New Hanover team. From what I see I agree.

Someone ,I thought you, said the dogs offense was going to get exposed against Havelock. I do think the difference in that game was turnovers. But Havelock did limit bulldog offense. The Rams took away the outside. The Dogs did gash the Rams inside the tackles. Had more offense than the Rams. If the dogs holds on to the ball, we win.

Much better than? Nah! Northside can beat Havelock for sure, I just think WRH matches up better against Northside. Still a toss up who wins this one. Had WRH beaten Havelock I prolly would have picked Northside to win this one. Just think WRH plays with allot of heart and gets this victory after a loss last week.

WRH has the best schedule in the east. Every week they have a big time match up, and they have the team to compete. Has to be fun for there fans!

It is fun being a BULLDOG. We all love big game atmosphere. We do have a lot of big games. But none of them beat JK of the past and Clinton game.

I can agree that without the turnovers it would have been a BETTER game lol... But we also only gave #21 the ball like 14 times, yall had no answer for him lol. Had wen needed to, a good 20-25 carries yall still lose this one

I actually had stated that I felt WRH offense would get exposed against Havelock. It was not that I thought Wallace offense was not good, I just felt, and in some ways still feel that through Wallace's first few games that there defense was so dominate, and they jumped on teams so early that allot of those earlier squads gave up. Someone brought out that Wallace had averaged over 400 yards of offense, so I know they are good.

Against a Good Havelock squad and good Northside Team, I definitely think even a great defense will get scored upon by these teams, and with a squad like Northside who's coach is a former semi-pro QB his squads are going to have a passing attack to keep him in any ball game. Add that to fact that I just don't think WRH has anyone who can hold #6 down when he is lined up at receiver (WRH still has the defense to pressure QB however).

First couple of games Wallace could turn the ball over and literally get the ball back by forcing the other team to a three and out. Against Northside they will make you pay like Havelock did, and even though I have no problems with running the ball, I do know that playing from behind becomes a problem running. Your just not going to put up 40 points against a Northside or Havelock off of there mistakes on offense.

Still got WRH winning this one because one they are talented and two they will be extra motivated after losing last week. I could say the same for Northside losing to New Hanover, but that loss was expected just like WRH losing to Wake Forest is expected. Northside actually got allot of props for the way they hung in there with New Hanover.

This has potential to turn into a matchup of 2a and 3a representatives from east.

Northside will probably win there conference this year. They are Physical on both sides of the ball. WRH must play a perfect game to win. Northside probably have the best running back in eastern nc.

Conley played wideout the game I went to. Does he play running back too? I certainly think he is capable of it, i just saw him mostly split out.

I think they do everything they can to get the ball in his hands. He probably will line up at every position except the line in this one NSJ will have to play a perfect game to beat WRH

I really wish I could see this game, but I change my prediction. 28-14 Northside. Still believe in WRH, but feel Northside is just a better 3a team, great win if WRH can get it, but not a bad loss either.

I'm going to stick with WRH. I really would like to see them dig deep and get this one. Defense needs to be near perfect for WRH to get the win. North-Jax is a dangerous team. They look like a team that can potentially score quick and score in bunches.

Bud, this WRH team reminds me of the Southwest Onslow team after our last state Championship team. They had so many athletes who were talented, but never really put it together for a long stretch of being great or as good as there potential. They lost to Shelby in the finals that year, but honestly could have been a way more special team. They were hyped up just like this WRH team is.

Northside is good, and although I know WRH can beat them. I think they have to play there best game of the season to do it.

Didn't sw go to state in 2013 they won it 2012

I believe that was the year. We had Javeon Walker who was pre-season all state. Jimmy Taylor was a sophomore (Virginia tech). Young QB Williams who was an awesome athlete. Speed everywhere. Xavier Wells was a really good LB. Returned "Bama" at RB who had started since his sophmore year. They went to the state finals just by having better players than anyone in the east that year. I will say they played there hearts out in the eastern finals against NE (great atmosphere in Elizabeth City). Shelby was good, but SWO imploded on the field during that game. Team just never came together, and if I am not mistaken Padgett retired the next year, but the signs where on the wall all year that the team kept losing to teams that were bigger, but they could have beaten, that is why they remind me of this WRH team.

WRH is going to show us tonight what kind of team we got. I know the bulldogs has got talent and great coaching, injuries can hurt your motivation and other things. Bulldogs have got to play with heart and get healthy.
