We scrimmage New Hanover every year for the like 4 years.. Ask those schools why don't they play us. Guareentee you that they call the school and want to play we would be playing them. If you were at the game last night with Maneo midway through second qt nothing but backups the rest of the game. Lol 35 -14 Northside right? Ninja your always quick to holla about how young your team is and all that. You did read the newspaper right? Do you understand that 6 starters sat out that game right? The offensive line had one SR the rest all 10th graders those running backs that ran all over your squad the 2nd half were 10th graders making their first varsity starts. Because lord knows if our number one back was there hell he would still be running right now. I know it pains you and a couple of others over there in Stallion land. Agree with one thing that you did say.. How in the world did the 2013 team not go further is a mystery. To much talent.. Big, fast, guest it was just not their time. But these youngsters are really impressive and the future is really bright in Cardinal country.
That 2013 Northside team was good but ran into a buzz saw in HP Andrews who went on to win the 2AA title. Looks like Northside is rolling
I tell you what the panthers are a group of hard nosed kids. That will be a game between those two.
i dont know footballaholic3232. we have good talent but we just play a little on the soft side the last few years. we dont play as hard nosed as we used to. i feel if we " bring it" we can compete with most anybody, but sometimes we act like we dont want it.
Can't wait to see Clinton against Northside next Friday....think we may have something to say about the title of this thread....Ninja must of forgot we are 2AA as well
You have to get after Northside QB if he has time to get the ball to those tall receivers it will be a problem whoever they play. You guys had better try and match your best athletes against those cats because not only are they big but they can move. They can also go up and get it.
We have one DB that will total cancel out one of the WRs...other CB not as good but safety over the top helping out should help....dline is good so we will pressure him maybe even have one of the LBs spy him....its going to be a good game it always is when both teams are good....Northside Jax has had our number last few match ups but that was against weaker Clinton teams
Should be a good one between to highly ranked teams maybe a preview of the Eastern Finals in 2AA
its funny how you bumped this thread again ninja lol. you werent bumping it when Clinton drug Northside a few weeks ago, or when East Duplin beat Northside on their homecoming a few weeks ago. but i give Northside credit, i think they are a very good football team that are very capable of beating my Panthers. i still think we are the better team, but i also still think Clinton is better than Northside too. when you have two very good teams, even when one is clearly a little better than the other one, the better team doesnt always win. if the better team doesnt capatalize and score when they have the chance, it could cost them the game. from what i heard from the Clinton fans, Clinton totally dominated the first half of the game last night. but they didnt turn that into many, if any points on the board. and it ended up costing them the game. same thing when we played Wallace Rose Hill. all that being said, will Northside beat us next Friday night? who knows, but it wont be long before we find out. lets get it on !!!
I would not say we dominated but it was a defensive struggle we were in field goal range a couple times Lewis didnt want to take the 3.....big special teams play just before the half turned out to be huge

Lee,It looks like you took this thread out of storage to remind everybody that you predicted Northside to win the state title or play for it. That could happen, even though I'm pulling for East Duplin (for an unusual reason). I got a feeling East Duplin might give them a good workout...Anyway, what's puzzling to me is that if you predicted Northside to win the state or play for it, did you not go back on that when you made the prediction thread for the quarterfinals, last week, and predicted Northside to lose 42-12 ?
