North Stokes v Prep?

North Stokes 10, WS Prep 6.
North's defense had a bend but don't break mentality and gave up 6 points early, but none the rest of the game. Had a huge goal line stand late in the game. Both teams had chances to score more points, but couldn't cash in. Prep made some athletic plays, but couldn't break loose, and north grounded and pounded to seal the deal.

Wow!! Didn't see that happening. Congratulations to North Stokes coaches and players. Very solid season.
Hmm, I'm surprised here. Prep hasn't played that well at all after that explosion vs Bishop.
North Stokes very well could and should get 4th place in the Northwest now, baring some upset by Atkins..
Most 1A west playoff projections I have seen on other sites has North Stokes and Prep in a rematch so if that happens it could be another thriller.
Congrats to North Stokes though, 0-11 to 6-5 potentially is a hell of a improvement, if Reeves doesn't get Coach of the year in the Northwest then something's up.

Good win for Vikings...the coach has done a great job...win a few more and he could be up for statewide recognition....went from a 20 something straight losing streak to a possible winning season....
They are having a dream season for sure. They might not top the 2007 season in wins but this year is good for their program.
This year reminds me of 1995 when Kirk Martin coached there that year (20 years ago none the less.) They went from 0-22 in 1993/94 to 6-7 and beat North Moore in the playoffs. Kirk won the Northwest and State 1A Coach of the Year that year.
I could see Reeves possibly doing both if they make it past round 1. That would be interesting. North Stokes needs to make sure to keep him he could become a hot commodity for bigger schools.
Both him and Bartlett Yancy's coach have done awesome job's this season.
