Well East and North fans don't seem to exist on the forums any more and very few Lincolnton folks. Heck y'all guys used to light up the boards no matter who you were playing. So out of boredom and curiousity I just want to see some feedback on this game. It's a rivalry..if you wanna call it that considering North has only beaten East once and what a beating it was 2007 and lost by a pt a few years ago. Call it huge difference between the two schools in talent, speed, coaching, size, I dunno, Lincoln co spectators be the judge of that.
My outlook- North has the wideouts and boy do they ever after how many years?? Lol And they have a dangerous QB in the pocket if given time. Other than the AC game of which they lost by 4 points and hey AC did beat a highly favored Watauga team, North has not played an above avg team yet. Just from my guess here's how's it gonna go down: North scores on at least 3 good drives but that's it by field goal or a lucky shot or 2 on East's secondary. East has a much better defense I'd assume than WL did so I see more pressure, more sacks, more interceptions, and Norths defense has shown weakness and East will take every advantage and will be speedy and athletic enough to sustain drives. Reality sits back in between the 2 schools and East takes this one by 2 scores. I say 2 scores because if the offense is struggling like y'all say it is there will be a fumble or 2 that North may take advantage of and slow down the scoring spread. Hey, it is what is dispite who played who and who scored more on who.
Best chance for North to win- ball security, eating clock and as much of it as possible, every pass must count although these guys will be guarded better than any game they've played so far, and defense making stops and forcing punts. You could say that about every football game but I'd highlight the part we're I said making stops and forcing punts.
Something worth noting for North: AC plays Freedom Friday...should AC defeat Freedom, it's gonna make North look pretty good considering they took a good team down to the wire and it also could show the program is just as good or can be as good as a lot of the local teams.
