Alright, time for the big schools in Davidson County to match up in their "rivalry." I say "rivalry" because it's never been very competitive. In fact, I don't know the series record but pretty sure Ledford has been beaten about 10 times for every time they've beat North...

Anyway, the Panthers will come with fire in their eyes because North is their Super Bowl every year. Our boys should be able to take care of business, especially on offense. Will the defense put it together for 4 quarters or let the kittens stay in the game?

This game becomes even more significant next year when it's a conference match. Have always respected Ledford, enjoy that game because of the energy and crowd support.

I will say this, last year was a dog fight....a bunch (4) of FGs and a late TD. Fun game to watch.

I just like to talk crap to them because they've always wanted to be like us lol... Yes it was a good game last year. Like I said, we're their super bowl. They always get up for us. Not so much asheboro and southern Guilford, which should actually be more important if they want to be successful.

I think ND will be the "get up for this one" game for a lot of schools. This team has so much potential, it will be interesting to see how much more they develop between now and the end of the season. The state title in baseball makes it feel like "we can do it too" for the football team. Nothing would make me happier than to see Butts with a baseball and a football state championship ring.

I think ND wins but Ledford always plays them tough. Gave ND fits last year. It's probably the biggest game on Ledford's schedule other than the playoffs, they want it really bad but ND is too good.

I don't know Ledford that well, just what I saw last year and what I read here or in the paper. Who are their best players this year? I know their kicker is very good, think someone in their secondary already has schools looking at him. Hooker would be hard to replace (glad he is at State) they had a really good def end last year as well. Their whole team impressed me, they really went after it.

Ledford ended their scrimmage with east Forsyth early because East was hurting all there players and smashing them. I'd take north Davidson 50+ to 14

I have said it a few times before, could see Nd putting up 50+ on all non conference foes except Christian. We will see....

I think it will be the usual tight game - North's strength (O) v/s Ledford's strength (D) - should be a good matchup!

Ledford played their guts out, just didn't have our studs.

Pretty ugly game from us. Man that ND atmosphere can't be beat though. Saw a lot of old faces. And the wait in the concession stand was long as ever.

Room for improvement.

6 turnovers for ND, including 3 int's for Butts. 2 of them were off of receiver's hands, but I don't think he had but 7 all year last year. I'm sure he will be fine.

Defense played good, and Zi Russel had some great catches and good runs after the catch.

Defense put the clamps on Ledford in the 2nd half. Special teams did their job as well. Offense scored 31 points, with SIX turnovers. Problems tonight can be fixed, some of the issues from week 1 have already been corrected.

Don't care what anyone says, Ledford played their hearts out tonight.

Kicked off your being modest. The kicking aspects were great.

Punt return left a lot to be desired for various reasons last night. Catching q punt and a fair catch will save us 12 yards.

A lot of good catches though, including the interception along the sidelines. Very talented kids.

Black knight nut, I saw you last night!! I was awkward and didn't now how to say " hey I'm that guy from ncprepS" but after the game near Randy's walking up the hill. Hope your well!!

Thx for the kind words. He has been working really hard on punting, hope the results will start to show this year. He almost chopped his finger off building a deer stand a few weeks ago and where they sewed everything back together, his punt drops with his right hand have been a little off. Long story for another time.....

Until we get into the guts of our toughest competition and the playoffs, punting and touchbacks on Kickoffs will be his best chance to help the team.

Oh my, hope everything gets better for him, kicked off. Crazy, I wish you had. I was just trying to avoid the craziest part of traffic lol. You can always bet on limited parking when ledford comes to town.

Haha, I know, I just wasn't sure how and honestly I was pressed for time, so I couldn't have talked long anyways.

Say, it's about time for your 10 year reunion isn't it?

Also, I was mighty impressed with Ledford student section! More so than our own.

Man, I don't agree with that one at all. ND has the best fan base in the area. We travel well, usually pack the house, tailgate like champs. Proud to be a Black Knight fan!

I agree, although sometimes it seems like we make more noise on the road than we do at home.

I was referring to how excited the majority of them get. I am well aware we travel well. But most of them sit on their butts and never get excited about anything, even a TD lol. The students are known for being creative, but by and large the north fan base will not get loud unless it's very important

Feels loud where I am, but I can see where you are coming from. Honestly, I'm like you guys, I go for the football anyway so everybody else can do whatever they want/don't want. Everybody better enjoy the Asheboro game, won't be back home again until conference starts in a month.....

Agreed, and I suppose as long as they're there the boys get support anyway. I just remember the game against Porter Ridge years ago and everyone sitting on their butts during a STATE SEMI game! I have looked and seen the same thing ever since. Some fans are loud, but most aren't. Just like the Dean Dome fans that only get up for Duke!

By the way, I don't know how many more games I'll get to see. Working 2nd shift nowadays, usually off at 2 in the morning lol

Hate to hear that....hope you can catch Enoch and Nick on the Knights Sports Network. One of our kids had to have emergency surgery last year, spent the night listening to the Reagan game in the cafeteria at Duke hospital listening to the game (not a fun game to listen to when you are already stuck in the hospital with a sick child!! It was cool to at least be able to keep up with the game.
