Looking to next year:

N Surry- Returns their two big girls in Johnson and Sutphin. Most teams will not be able to match up with those two inside.

Ledford- Will move back to 2A after a short stint in 3A. They return all five starters off a team that only lost 2 games this year. Great speed and defense.

Mountain Heritage- Returns leaders Chandler and King. Has had a consistent program the last few years.

Salisbury- Returns 3/4 top players. 6-0 Troutman may dominate next year. She can shoot the three or post up inside.

North Wilkes- Returns all five starters after making it to the regionals this year.

E Davidson- Returns all five starters. They have sharp shooter Anders. Will not be as good as teams in the recent past, but will compete.

Others to watch- RS Central, Madison

Any other teams to look out for?

Pisgah is moving back to 2A next year, and will return 4 starters from a team that lost by 3 in OT to state 3A Runner-up Hickory Ridge.

Smoky Mountain should be good. Played all but the first few games this year without their top scorer due to injury and still went 27-3. She will be back as a senior next year, along with several other key players from this year's team.

South Rowan returns all five starters from a 14-12 campaign and will be moving down from a tough SPC 3-A Conference and joining the Central Carolina 2-A
