It was a good game but I listened to it on the internet. Hillside won 29 - 27. HHS running backs carried the load. NB QB fumbled in Hornet territory on their last chance to score.
Proud of my boys. Didn't expect us to compete with Hillside this early in season. Coach Curlings has to be pleased at what he saw from this inexperienced group last night.
A down year for New Bern is a good year for most schools. Coach Curlings will have them winning the conference and I expect a run to the third round at the worst.
I'd like to see us air it out a bit more this week. Not totally worried about the D, we're not going to see a RB combo like Hillside the rest of the year. That Michigan St commit and Elliot were incredible. Should be a good one this week.

Do they have a QB that can throw the ball? The tall kid (I don't know his name) I heard has a strong arm, but not accurate and the other kid Becton is more of a runner. NBBears, what was the QB situation Friday night? Did they split time or one play more than the other?
Accurate to me, isn't a spiral every time but it gets there. Long ball got us multiple TD's, need to hit our playmakers deep. Big QB played entire game. Guy really impressed me against a huge physical D in Hillside. Really like the makeup of this team, has a chance to be really good.
