Well, here we are. Tabor is very improved and looking like the spartans of old. ND got a bye week so they had more time to prepare, but Tabor is looking good. Much respect to them, should be a great game. May the best team win the final game before we depart the CPC.

Hey BK, I think I will come check this game out. Hows TJ Boyce been playing for you guys? This Tabor bunch is tough and its the group that went undefeated on jv a couple of years ago so they feel as though they should be winning. Im looking forward to this game and the winner has the inside track to the conference title in my opinion, even though theres plenty of ball left to be played.

Couple of things to watch in this game....

1) Are we (ND) finally getting healthier? Injuries going into the Christian game plus all the ones during that game impacted the outcome a bit more than I expected. We are a much better team when we are at full strength (guess that could be said for a lot of teams).
2) Will the defense rise to the occasion as I've heard MT can really run the ball? Their JV team did give our team a fit a few years ago, a good ole fashioned beating if I remember right. I read in the Dispatch that Holcomb referenced getting stops on 3rd and 4th down, that will be huge. Hard to score when you don't have the ball.
3) Can we limit the turnovers? We take points off the board sometimes with penalties and turnovers.

Would really love to see the boys put an all around A+ game with all 3 parts of the game, think we win if that happens. I have a lot of respect for Tabor, it won't be an easy game.
My wife went to Tabor, I really want ND to win this game.....

TJ is great. Good speed, but doesn't shy away from contact. Good vision and trusts his blockers. Love the way he runs.

Yea we miss him dearly but I'm so glad hes embraced the move and is performing the way i know he can. And yea TJ is fast but he does seem to enjoy contact unlike most speed guys. I will most definitely check this game out.

In my opinion this is the best Tabor team since 2011. Defense is lights out and the offense is solid and can put up points. Tabor had problems capitalizing on great field position last week which left a couple scores off the board. I feel like this week stuff like that could come back to bite them against a team of NDs caliber. Should be a good game, as i hear Butts is the one of the best QBs in the conference. Will be interesting to see how he fairs against Tabor's fast, hard hitting, aggressive defense.

I HATE that I'm going to miss this one. I've got a feeling this game's going to be an entertaining, high-scoring affair.

Tabor's fun to watch. On offense, they've got a QB that's not flashy but effective. They've got a running back named Daquan Mason who's not the biggest but he runs hard and is tough to bring down. Tabor's also got a plethora of tall, dependable receivers. Especially Blake Whitehart. Whitehart reminds me of Jay Novacek a little. The Tabor O-line isn't the heaviest but they're tall and athletic across the board.

That last sentence also applies to Tabor's front seven on D. Their secondary's also pretty good. However.....

.........they haven't seen anything like North's offense. North is like a good mixed martial artist. They can transition from the ground to the air (or vice-versa) and not miss a beat. TJ Boyce is a nice running back. And, of course, there's Mr. Butts who's doing a decent Ladowski imitation so far.

I think a big factor in this game is going to be the kicking of Christopher Dunn. That guy can crush a football. Tabor should expect to start every possession from their own 20.

I believe what it'll all boil down to is how well Tabor's D plays. I don't think they'll have too much of a problem moving the ball against ND. Can they stop Butts and Co.? I think Tabor can.......but not for 48 minutes.

I think when ND beat Tabor in 2012, it was the first time in like 20 years. It's been nice to get some wins over them the last few years, and I would really like to get this last one before the realignment. It sounds like they are much improved, and I am expecting a dogfight.

Does anyone know if Dalton and/or Stevens will be back?

No doubt, the best game in state 4A this weekend. The only game that pits two ranked top 25 teams.

I've seen both of these teams play this season, East had their bad QB playing this game and won 22-7 I believe. East should have won the game 42-0

North Davidson will run the all verts pass route and pass it to that one good WR/Rb they have

Score of that East Fo/Tabor came should have closer if anything. Tabor went down by 2 TDs early in the 1st Qtr. 1 touchdown on the very 1st drive on a healthy drive, and the other was off a dropped/tipped interception which happened to fall into Beal's hands in the end zone. East Fo's offense came alive when they brought in their passing QB after half time and still did not get in to the end zone until late in the very late 4th to seal the game (christian beal screen pass). Tabor also had a TD called back in the 3rd Qtr which could have been the difference maker in that game.

Will this game be on internet radio???
Like he said you can listen on the website and also on your phone thru the free Mixlr app by searching "Knights Sports Network" or the Tabor call at "MTTABORFB". We'll be on at 6:30 with interviews from players and coaches. Should be fun!

It seemed like Tabor ran for 400 yards, all between the tackles. Nothing fancy, just right down your throat. ND just didn't have the size up front to stop them. Tabor also pressured Butts all night and bottled up the run, too. Very impressive performance.

I thought Tabor really won special teams tonight!! ND scored first and Tabor ran the ensuing kickoff back to the red zone. They tied the game quickly. Then after a stop (controversial no call on a possible interference) they returned a punt to the red zone and scored shortly there after. Then after another stop they blocked a punt for a score to give them a 22-7 lead. Butts and Co quickly came back with two pretty bombs to the Russell kid. But Tabor was too tough between the tackles and Mason and Co went to work. I know East beat Tabor week one but right now I believe Tabor is the best team in WS.

I think special teams kept Tabor in the game for the first 22 points, but the last 4 TDs came from our inability to stop the run time after time. You guys won all 3 areas of the game tonight, regardless of which one claims credit for the victory.

We could lose every game the rest of the season and I still wouldn't give up on our team, but that was a disappointing game if you are a ND fan.

Wow! Everyone was hard on East after that close win in week 1. Looks like Tabor is the real deal and has to be the favorite to win the CPC right now.

Was hoping for better following the charlotte game and a bye. But mistakes persist and the defense still leaks.

Which leads to the next point, the offense. They can so great and explosive sometimes, but at others it can be frustrating. One moment it may be turnovers others it's getting stopped ( 2nd half). Game by game there has been different struggles.

They are good, but I've had mutiple ppl tell me that this years offense is the best North has had. Having seen both and after enough games, 2010 with senior Ryan Morgan was the better offense. Far more balanced and consistent.

Hang in there boys, rebound get better and give it your all!!

Offense not as good as last year. You lose McCoy to West Virginia , Wr Griffith to Guilford and graduate a few Olinemen and throw in the injury to Dalton it makes the O weaker than last year. Butts is great but he has been pressured the last 2 games as soon as the snap gets to him. Although he still threw 300 yards and 3 TDs last night.

I agree that the 2010 offense was more consistent, but I think that came from the big boys up front. I think this group has better skill players, but Tabor had two and three guys in the backfield all night. It's hard to get anything going when Boyce is getting hit as soon as he gets it, and Butts has two seconds to find an open receiver.

I hope the coaches can find some solutions.

Congrats to Tabor, they are the real deal. Frustrating to keep talking about the defense, but they can't stop an offense with a pulse. Butts is great, but this is far from the best offense in school history. Early 2000s teams were better with the ground and pound running game, and they also played defense. 2010 was mentioned and 2012 was better obviously.

This team is great on offense and good on special teams but the defense leaves much to be desired. You can score 50 ppg and it doesn't mean anything if you can't stop the opponent. To take a quote from the Richmond posters, Nuff Said...

I agree that 2010 was great a large part because of that line. They were a project that Holcomb developed beginning their soph year. But I think their skill players are just as good if not better than this years.

BKN is right also, the early 2000's teams don't get the credit they deserve cause it was so long ago but them boys could play goood.

Still great things this years team can do but gotta clamp down on D

I seen Tabor scrimmage and was impressed with their defense. They put pressure on the quarterback and are aggressive.
