Did this poll just post , I know that some one has to say something ,come on guys !!!!

Sadly, MIster Aces Wild, most of the posters are in the Incarceration Tent as a result of their participation in De Flate Me Gate, the Rhode Island experiment gone wild at the Blow-Up Doll Factory.

Is it just me or does it seem fewer people are posting this season???
People have gradually figured out over time that subjective rankings aren't worth arguing over.

I look at these things to see if I think the correct teams are included just sort of out of curiosity, but otherwise, the order doesn't really matter to me. I know before even looking at the rankings which teams will have to be dealt with in November, and rankings don't ever change that.

Very interesting. I think Myers Park should be a little higher.

I'm also shocked/happy/amused at seeing SW Guilford at #13. Good team? Yes. Better than North Davidson/Mount Tabor? No.

The Scot's schedule not really challagening. Only 1 team over 500 ball. It gets weaker during conference play. I would put them 4th in 4A behind Dudley, Vance and CC. That schedule might come back to haunt them in the playoffs

Catholic hasn't beaten anyone really that good yet, and they won't play a team who is good until maybe 2 weeks at Olympic but they are shaky. South Meck game will tell us a lot.
Scotland hasn't beaten anyone either though, Glenn isn't a team I'd be beating my chest over.

I'm curious It seems there is no doubt how good Dudley is. Also Page has proven they are strong. Davie beats one of them and loses to another yet isn't ranked. Hard to figure indeed.

Leave it to Nepsy to stir the pot! ;)

While I agree with you through our first couple of games (we did not look like a top 10 team), we have started to turn a corner and it's coming together nicely. I agree Dudley and MC is more proven at this point than we are but I would call it even with the Butlers, Catholics and Vances of the world. If we go West again, it would be an absolute gauntlet again this year!

I can tell u without a doubt 10/21 is the date u need circled. That kind of speed on one field is scary. If it wasn't for Kingsley n a cpl of big defensive plays that was an L for us out the gate. So dynamic over the top n on the back end it's scary. Plus they all r back next year. Sheesh

Stir the pot? OK you guys are the best team in the State. Is that better?
Has absolutely nothing to do with Dudley or Mallard Creek.
Everything works when you're playing inferior programs. You look like you're turning the corner and looks like there coming together. Than Bam! Ask MiddleCreek?

I am not too worried about West Meck, we've seen teams before with those kinds of athletes and speed. Catholic will be ready, but before we worry about West Meck we need to worry about South Meck.
I think Catholic has the best coaching in the conference and that will help them quite a bit. Also West Meck doesn't seem to play much defense at least that was my takeaway from the AK game. We'll see though, let's worry about Harding on Friday ;)

Take it easy Nepsy, I'm agreeing with you. Notice the wink at the very beginning? We are by no means the best in the state and our struggles to find any rhythm through our first 3 or even 4 games will tell you as much! As far as inferior programs, when we schedule these teams in advance we have no idea how good they'll be within the terms of the contract. We demolished New Hanover last year and they were the #1 seed in the East last year and made it to the semi finals.

As far as comparing us to Middle Creek, apples to oranges my friend. But by all means continue to bash away, it's what you do best!

I'm not bashing. I just implied that scheduling can be very misleading during the season, that applys to any teams in 4A & 4AA in the State. (See Mallard Creek playoffs before scheduling Butler) The only comparison you guys have in common with Middle Creek would be scheduling, as i believe The Scot's would blow them off the map. I also never said that you scheduled programs based on how good you thought they would be?

You agree with me but I'm bashing? So you take it easy! :)

Go ahead Nepsy!!! I hope our schedule don't come back to bite us either, but it is what it is my friend!!!

Well guys we know that most of these non-conference games are scheduled 2-3-4 years in advance so sometimes you dont know exactly what might happen, although some teams are powerhouses year in and year out. Naturally the weaker non conf. Schedule has its advantages because it allows the Powerhouses to sand bag. Naturally they ain't gonna risk their star players against a team that's 1 and 5. Lol. Save em for conf. Or playoffs. If you got 2 or 3 games like that, you're set... laffs. My 2 cents worth. Good-luck to all.

Maybe correct CC but the 1 pretty good team Catholic played
dominated the game, granted it was week 1. The 7 point
difference that night in no way told how the game went.
Definitely no wins to beat your chest over.
Indy, New Hanover,Marlboro, Jack Britt, is a good list about
any year but this one ofcourse as all admittedly so seem to be
down. I really thought Glenn would be more of a challenge, but they were not. (still their quality is tbd).
Maybe our teams will play this year.

Beat a dead horse some more, we know Catholic lost to Christian. 4 turnovers and sloppy penalties will do that for you. Defense stepped up cause it could've been worse.
I'm not beating my chest over any wins except Country Day but not because it is a good win, but because it's just awesome to pile drive them. It's a rivalry so chest beating is necessary.
Anyways, I think CC will be fine, but we won't know just how good they truly are for several weeks until they get deep into conference play with South Meck and West Meck.

Don't sleep on West Meck.
