Clinton easily top 10

So Shelby vs SP loser will be the only team not undefeated in top ten going into playoffs. I believe the other two can drop their loss.

I don't think there are any drops this year, the way I understand it is after qualifying teams are determined, they will split according to ADM's, then divide sub classes into west-east based on location, then the 1's will be seeded according to final max preps ranking in classification, then so on with 2's, then 3's, etc....

Short answer though, no, loser of Shelby-SP will not be only team in top ten not undefeated...

Can someone please answer a question for me in regards to seeding come playoff time. I'm a NHS fan and in the most recent Max Preps ranking NHS is the #7 2a team in NC. Wallace Rose Hill is the #5 2a team in Nc. The most recent poll on this forum has NHS the #4 team and Wallace Rose Hill the #7 team. NHS is undefeated while Wallace Rose Hill has 1 loss. Who would have home field advantage through out the playoffs considering they both win Friday night? I'm thinking Wallace Rose Hill, but another NHS fan on this site commented that the road to the state c'ship would go thru Elizabeth City. So I'm confused.

Only way I see Northeastern not getting #1 seed is the following:

*Northeastern loses to Pasquotank

Or

*Wallace beats James Kenan

*Clinton beats East Duplin

*Wallace would be in three way tie for first but because they are 2A and not 2AA they would be seeded with the other first place finishers. WRH would be seeded higher than Northeastern based on having a higher Maxpreps rating.

Thanks, NHS is going to destroy Ptank Friday night, it will be the one game I'm going to miss, it's not worth paying admission Lol. I don't know anything about the other teams, but from what I'm reading on MaxPreps East Duplin should have no problem beating Clinton. Wallace-Rose Hill should run over James Keenan. That is on paper anyway. So in that scenario NHS would have home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. That being the case, I will be pulling for Clinton to pull the upset. I feel much better about NHS chances winning on the road. Plus it would be more satisfying winning that way.

Clinton/ED will be a good game. WRH has already beaten JK pretty handily and should this week also.

Be careful wanting to go to Legion Stadium. Wallace plays very well at home especially in the playoffs. Northeastern/WRH would be a great game but beware of East Bladen also.

It would be great. NHS has a strong following and the fans really travel. We would pack their stadium. What a great game it would be, let's go Clinton!!!!!

Wouldn't Northeastern be ranked higher than WRH considering WRH will have one loss and Northeastern will be undefeated?

Or if Reidsville goes 2A East, then Rams are #1 seed.

Oh how I remember that debacle. NHS star player gets hurt early, the pam pack, as God awful as they were go on to win. I'm for certain that the NHS coaching staff will try and find a way to lose if they can,LOL. I would love to see what other coaches in our area could do with the talent that we have year in and year out. We should have a dynasty over here no doubt. Parents pull their kids out of the other area schools just to go play for NHS. All the good players in the Albemarle area somehow seem to find a place on the NHS roster. For instance, just last year our star qb 6'5 Dallas Hall was the qb for 1a Perquimans High School. He had 1 yr of eligibility left and chose to transfer to NHS. We have the talent, facilities, fans, and resources to build a dynasty over here in the forgotten part of the state.

I've met Coach Moore before and he is a stand up guy who motivates the heck out of those kids. Before him any school in that area would be early round exits. Be grateful you have a program giving that corner of the State some good shine. If you don't want him...we'll take him in Raleigh lol

Consider their schedule, and also I just saw this past Friday night. They started slow this yr, but they're starting to peak

No no no definitely dont deserve to be ranked especially not in the top 10.....4 losses are 4 losses no matter how pretty they were still a L.....team is young and improving we may catch a team or two sleeping in the postseason depending on how the bracket turns out

Agreed played on a team that was 5-5 at the end of the reg season and we ended up playing on State Title Saturday....but as far as the NC preps 2A top 10 is concern we dont belong in it
You guys play Ed close this Friday- you'll be there. And I believe you will
