My realignment proposal

New Hanover has been assured by the local Administration they will be 4a next year. Letter will be sent to NCHSAA asking to play up to 4a. Next question for rhe the administration is why are they keeping NH numbers artificially low. Appears they are they are trying to show overcrowding at other schools to justify building a 5th High School.

There were two teams that requested class changes yesterday. Cardinal Gibbons to 4A, granted. Hickory to 2A, denied.

Catholic's conference would honestly be great. Union County is not too far away, several of those teams already have rivalries with Catholic in either football or other sports. Also the gates would be much higher I think than the Charlotte conference.
Even Providence didn't bring a huge crowd this year.

Take Seventy-First out of Conference #7 with the present Southeastern 4A schools and out them in the 3A/4A Conference #6. Take Jack Britt and South View out of the 3A/4A and put them in Conference #7 with the present Southeastern 4A schools. Jack Britt and South View are the two southernmost 4A schools in Cumberland County and would fit in much better in Conference #7 than Seventy-First.

Lol, I reside in Fayetteville, jack Britt is not in Hope Mills but South View is and yes South View is South of Fayetteville, but Jack Britt is considered West of Fayetteville and its not in Hope Mills......

But, Jack Britt is pretty darn close to Hope Mills ... I have visited the Boneyard a few times ...

Dov, I see what you are saying if you look at downtown and say JB is West. But if you drive from Hoke, Scotland and PS, one would travel from the South to get to JB and go West to get Westover and 71st. By looking at The Ville entire area. jmo
