My mid Carolina Conference 2/A 1/A football predictions

I think a lot of this is going to ride on how many people leave Cummings. I have heard rumbles that there could be more potentially. Their QB went to Reidsville if I’m not mistaken. NM also lost a lot of kids to graduation. Should be interesting to see how the conference shakes out.

J-M fourth? Obviously, someone has got to be drunk! 0-10 last season. More than likely to repeat that recrod this season.

For a new school, SE Alamance will surprise folks! They will be well coached.

NM and Cummings will be battling forthe top spot. BY and Northwood have new head coaches. Gotta keep an eye on them. Graham, CC, and Seaforth aren't really anything to write home about.

I’m telling you. 3/4ths off there team last year was freshman. Of course that was going to happen. They’re bigger, stronger, and much faster

But still no o-line or even anything resembling a defense. It's gonna be another long year in Siler City ...
Better then you think. OLine huge now and they got a transfer WHO’s making a lot of noise and he’s only a sophomore coming up at corner. Burner

This cornerback you speak of must be the next coming of PRIMETIME the way you keep talking about him

He transferred there.. Didn’t play for JM last year. Did I mention he runs a 4.4 ? Cover skills way above average for a sophomore and he can dunk.. meaning he got hops!!. He’s not that tall but lengthy 5’11
I’m as happy for JM as the next man but you do know that most of the teams in this conference are run first offenses? I can’t think of a position on defense that matters less against the run

Heels910 JM DLine is bigger way bigger.. We also just got another transfer that’s a solid build 6’7 DLine guy
I must’ve missed where Siler City became a destination everyone wanted to be. I get it man there’s no sports on right now so all we can do is get excited for the fall. If JM is as “good” as you claim they are maybe they’ll turn some heads in the fall and gain some respect.

Not likely ...

Not likely ...
Keep in mind over 80 percent of that team was freshman. Going against 11th and 12th graders built like men while they just hired a coach right before the season with kids just getting out of middle school. That’s was to be expected. Not only do they have a year under there belt they have Key transfers that will make an impact…..
Oh

1: North Moore
2: Bartlett Yancy
3: Cummings
4: Jordan Matthews
5: Northwood
6: Graham
7: Seaforth
8: Southeast Alamance
9: Chatham Central
So am I reading this correctly that Northwood is 2A again? I think this conference will be a breath of fresh air for them. It will definitely make things REAL interesting in basketball this season.

Southeast Alamance could be the surprise team in this conference. I'm guessing they're drawing from Eastern and Southern? Anywhere else?

As for JM........man, I'm rooting for them. I remember when they were actually a formidable opponent. However, they're going to need more than one good cornerback to turn things around. If they finish fourth, that will be a big, big leap forward.

Northwood did drop from 3A to 2A thanks to the opening of Seaforth. I think that Southeast Alamance and Northwood will make some noise in the conference this season for sure.

Southeast Alamance will draw from Southern Alamance and Eastern Alamance. Also, nabbing the head coach from Eastern Guilford also helps!

As for J-M, this won't be the same J-M as it was back in the 70s and 80s when Phil Senter was the head coach.

Bro they’re super fast. Like 5 players that run 4.4. They’re much bigger on the lines ands overall. 85 percent of the team was freshman last year.. maybe 5th.. and you might be right with Southeast.. I think JM will be much better then last year but I truly think with 85 percent of the team being Sophomores were another year away
But they have the talent to do it.

Who are these players you speak of?? Names?? Camps they have attended? My son is a rising 8th grader who plays ayf and runs track on a national level. Hearing a freshman run a 4.4 is rare as it gets and I'm originally from Florida. Not saying the kid or your kid isn't fast but c'mon man 4.4. Most college skill positions aren't even running that. I hope all you say is true. Definitely will revisit this post as the season progresses

My son ran injured so he had to leave track because of a nagging injury. But he’s good to go now.. Eli, Nick, Gabriel, Kenneth runs between 4.46to 4.58and Cari run 4.58.. 2 are up coming seniors,2 are up and coming sophomores and 1 about to be a junior

They oline is big, the nose tackles are big. But I will say pending on how well they play up front on both sides of the ball will determine a whole lot. This my kids first year playing with JM so we’ll see if we can’t bring out the dogs in them

Goodness big fella put the pipe down - there are very very few high schools that have 5 guys that can run in the 4.4 range. None of those high schools are in Siler City unfortunately. I watched young Dula’s film too - he didn’t seem to be moving that fast….

I also heard that the local little league team was looking for more players

He’s fast 4.5 range.

Lol Chambers has the best secondary in the state and their 4 starters aren't posting numbers like that. I'm intrigued now. I doubt what you say is true. I just want to see film on all 4 dbs. 7v7 and game film.

You can laugh.. when they finish 5th or 4th in the conference we’ll see who got the last laugh

Better quit worrying about all that speed. It's great to have. But you better have your tail in the weight room. And your line ain't crap if it ain't in the weight room. Everyday. Five days a week. And running. If they're that fast they should be not satisfied with fourth or 5th but getting to first. That's a spread them out and throw the ball up to them kind of dudes. I kind of doubt that's the case. Kind of sounding like that dude from draughn whose boy was the quarterback. Till he got a heap and help into that Mount Airy defense. We got dudes up here that lift and that are strong you got all the speed you want but you ain't stopping them if you ain't stronger. And I'm speaking about us at East. Siler City could have some great athletes. But you going to have to have some buy-in. You got the same problem in Asheboro. Probably the only place in that county that's worth it piss is Eastern Randolph. They got some buy in and they work. They ain't broing nobody to death. They just running it down your throat.
