c'mon BK, the only way you would pull for Murphy is if you thought it benefitted the Knights. so I assume you think Murphy is an easier matchup for your boys? could be, but seems to me Murphy's more balanced offense would be tougher to gameplan for.I was pulling for you dogs.
Murphy's run D has improved some since they played Robbinsville, did a good job against Swain and good job against Rosman first game and decent job tonight. Robbinsville is a different animal though, will be a tough ask of Murphy's D. Murphy's offense against Robbinsville D concerns me more, haven't seern the amount of growth I expected from Murphy offensively, dug themselves in a lot of holes with penalities and the rythmn and tempo isn't like it was in the past. I miss Campana's playcalling.I could be talking about Murphys run D. Robbinsville ran the ball at will on Murphy last time and stop Murphys run. Rosman slowed our run and ran on us a lot. Everyone in rville was pulling for Rosman but I wasn't.
Campana was an excellent play caller and coach no doubt, but I think it has more to do with Jimmies and Joes than x's and o's this season. Murphy just doesn't have the same speed at the skill positions this year (they couldn't get outside on Rosman much at all, and Rosman isn't a team known for it's speed) and there is also a lot of youth on the team overall. Speed and experience have a way of making up for or erasing mistakes and penalties and when you don't have those two things, you struggle and mistakes are magnified. Just my two cents.Murphy's run D has improved some since they played Robbinsville, did a good job against Swain and good job against Rosman first game and decent job tonight. yeah I agree with that to a large extent but there is more to it than that. McRae has plenty of speed but doesn't know how to use it best yet (hopefully will learn), Curry has good speed at QB but not really the agility to make people miss, and the freshman (Blaylock, McTaggart, Vining) are a fast bunch but aren't ready yet, other than Blaylock.Campana was an excellent play caller and coach no doubt, but I think it has more to do with Jimmies and Joes than x's and o's this season. I think all those guys will improve the more they play. Just look at those names and think how young they are and what is coming the next few years! The future looks bright. I think we expect a little too much of McRae because he played so much last year. Sometimes we forget he is only a sophomore. His best days are ahead of him too.yeah I agree with that to a large extent but there is more to it than that. Congrats to the Bulldogs, and good luck in the 3rd round!
