Since it's in between the Cherokee and Nantahala National Forests.
Cherohala skyway got its name because it connects Cherokee National Forest and Nantahala National Forest (see link). So he’s saying the name would work for Cherokee Co, since it sits between those two forests as well.

BK - although you have a point with the last 10 match-ups, I can see why you didn't go past that. Since 2014, Robbinsville and Murphy have been almost practically even, however counting back from 2013 and on, there was a trend almost 10 years where Robbinsville didn't beat Murphy. You have to go back to 2004 the last time Robbinsville beat Murphy since 2014. Here is the "nightmare" i believe murphydawnman was referring too and I'll list the years. Since you already did the last 10 match-ups, I'll pick up from there:

So that last 20 match-ups, Murphy leads 18-8 overall. I believe that's the nightmare he is referring too.
Also, in case anyone is wondering how the overall rivalry has fared since these 2 have been knocking heads, Murphy leads the overall series 48-23-1. Obviously, Robbinsville has made it interesting the past 5 years, Murphy has, for the most part dominated the series.
