Pisgah @ Hendersonville
Smoky Mtn @ Brevard
East Henderson @ Franklin

Pisgah by 10
Brevard by 2
Franklin by 7

Pisgah 24-7... Hopefully we saved a few points from last week. Always helps an offense to have a game like that every now and then for a lil' confidence. Smoky beat this team 31-6, I think this one will go something like that as well.

Smoky 28-27... This should be a great game. Was hard for me to pick this one. Brevard seems to be very good this year and I don't really know much about them or what kind of D they have but I know that they haven't played anyone who will be able to run the ball on them like Smoky will.

Franklin 20-13... Will be their only win of the year. Surely they've got to be better than East. East is a ridiculously bad football team.

04. SM will probably be favored. Brevard is still in control of their conference season tho. Believe Brevard's coach will have the Devils fired up.
I think they can get it done at home. Plus the Bears need the help:D
Should be a great game. Hope my Devils can hold off the rushing attack from SM.

Devil98, Brevard's Defense will have their work cut out for them. They better bring a lunch pail.

Pisgah should win this game by 20 or more points. Hendersonville is the one team that I just can't figure out, they always have great athletes at the skill positions.
Smokey Mountain vs Brevard should be a good game ,I haven't seen Smoky play ,but they have to be good to beat Pisgah .Brevard is tough. There defence is really good. They have at least 2 really good running backs and there well coached. I'm going to pick Brevard 14 to 13 .
(massyrating.com) has Smokey Mt winning 14 to 13 it's a real interesting site. I've never read anybody mention it on hear, I stumbled upon it about a month ago ,you can do matchups with any team in the state, plus they have all the teams ranked with, alot of information.
East Henderson 21 Franklin 35..

Ya I saw that. I got a ?. For you if you don't mind. Do you know what the rules are for the 50/50 drawing. Heres what I would like to know ,. When they announce the winning ticket number. How long does the winner have to claim the money. Reason I'm asking , someone told me that at a game last week the winning ticket number was announced at halftime . Well sometime later they announced another winning number because the first announced ticket winner had not claimed the money. So the person that had the 2nd announced ticket numbers went to claim the money, and was about to receive the money, then the person that had the first announced winning ticket showed up ,and they gave the money to the person that had the first winning ticket. Could something like that happen ?. Is there a set rule s for the 50/50 drawing , or can each school that has a drawing set there own rules..

I think at Canton they would draw again if no one comes forward. Believe this has happened before. As for rules, guess each school could be different.

Bears down 17 points late in third QT and still come back and win. Don't mind saying, I was worried. Proud of the Bears and coaches.
I was a nervous wreck. Our players and coaches showed tremendous heart, determination and focus. #5 showed toughness you don't see much in High School football anymore. His toughness lit a fire along with some of the turnovers we caused. It was a rally.

You think Brett may have told them the Smoky Brevard score at halftime?

Man this almost feels like the old days. Brevard played well last night but they have have another tough game next week against a Hendo team that is probably a little frustrated today. If everyone takes care of business next week then it appears it will be back to Canton the following week to try and settle the conference. Some of the younger posters may not remember but it seems we could be heading towards a typical Pisgah / Brevard battle that everyone was accustomed to throughout the 90's. Go back to the original WAC days and those battles were always for the right to go to the playoffs before the split classifications. I think I would lose count if I tried to figure out how many times both Pisgah and Brevard battled the last game of the season for "winner take all". There have been a lot of good teams from both towns that have finished the season with one loss and sat at home when the playoffs started. Those are the battles with Pisgah that I remember playing in. I also remember having a tremendous amount of respect for the Bears. Other than the Tuscola game I think you would have a hard time not finding any coach or player from Pisgah that would not have the Brevard game circled on the calendar. Pisgah has held up their end over the years but it is good to see the Devils getting back into the conversation again. This is a very healthy rivalry that has spanned over the years and has produced some great games, players, and coaches. Like I said, feels like old times again.

My senior football season at Mitchell was 1982, we were 3A back then. My dad and brothers and I watched every playoff game that Brevard played that year to win the championship, one of the best defenses I've ever seen.

Absolutely- In the 90s and early 2000s we knew that we would have to play almost perfect to even have a chance at beating Brevard. I know that many from Canton (including myself) have always considered Brevard to our purest rival due to so much always being on the line when they face off.

Both teams have to win next week first . Brevard will have the tougher game but my Bears better not be looking ahead. That being said hope both win.Good to see Brevards back.Bears currently have a 29-24 advantage.

*Warning, Trap Game*
Franklin has nothing to loose, we have a lot on the line, classic trap game and you can bet your retirement that the Brooks Brothers will be gunning hard for us. We better not look past them! I thank the Man upstairs it'll be in our House.

Make no mistake, Franklin is coming to Canton to ruin the Bears season.
Personally I hope the Bears beat the red off the Panthers helmets.

When I think about Brevard I just see Canton with a different name, different colors, and a different mascot (we've also got our Bethel Blue Devils too.) Same small town feel of pride for their town. They will never replace Tuscola as our biggest rival but they're definitely our 2nd biggest. There more likable than Tuscola though! Lol. I'll actually pull for Brevard when they're not playing us. Can't overlook Franklin though, the Brooks Bros absolutely hate Pisgah and Chappell & Co. so they'll hold nothing back

Yep and you can bet there won't be any letting off the gas from our side either. I remember there used to be a lot of smack on here from the Panthers (WIR, Radio Check, and others), and I know there's been some bitterness for some time now between us. So yeah, I'd say there won't be any overlooking Franklin and if I was Brooks & Co, I wouldn't expect any mercy either.

Yeah, remember when those guys were on here running their mouth? I wonder what happened? Maybe the internet has been out in Franklin... all season long. Looks like it takes more than a win over East to get it fixed.

I've been on here all season long. Most of the Pisgah fans give as good as they get! You guys act like you have the tradition of Shelby. Just a quick reminder that since we became conference members in 2009 it's the Panthers who own a 7-3 record vs your mighty Bears.

Mighty Bears-According to Coach Brooks we are the Green Bay Packers and Brett is Vince Lombardi.
I will give you credit for not being a fair-weather fan like most of your buddies. As for the game hope we beat them by fifty. I lost what little respect I had for the Panthers when they stole that playoff game three years ago.
I remember when we would post about the past you guys would joke about it. Guess it's different when you do it.
As for Shelby no one has that tradition but unlike Franklin, we have beat them.

Franklin fan kicking around over here too, just not much to say and I don't get much joy out of trash talking anyways. I am still amused you haven't let go of losing in Franklin in the playoffs a few years ago. I know some of you Pisgah fans appreciate and value good officiating and would never pin a loss by your team on somebody else.

Congrats on y'all pulling that one out Friday. There for a while I thought we were going to enter our game with the same conference record. You guys are right that Franklin isn't going to give up and roll over, but this being the thinnest our team has been in eons you guys are the clear favorites.

might want to pick your words more wisely. I have never joked about any Pisgah fan posting about the past. I have no bones about the Bears history being much richer than ours. That being said the vast majority of Pisgah fans on this board have a pretty large amount of dislike for Franklin and the Panther fans. I’m not on here to live vicariously thru a HS football team. I’m on here to support the kids who put in the hard work to be on the team. I’ve will continue to support the kids whether they are undefeated or winless!

I can respect that as most of us Bear fans does and will. I would venture to say in addition to what you said, that "dislike" is reciprocated from y'all's side as well. Strange to me though those loud mouths that usually are on here beating the war drum when we're on the slate are quite. I admire a person for sticking by their team through thick and thin but obviously, your one of a kind in Macon County.
