This Friday will put us halfway through the conference schedule for this season and where do we find ourselves? How do we think our teams will fair this week? Are things lining up in the conference the way you figured they would?
This week's games in the M6 are;

Franklin (2-2) (1-1) @
East Henderson (0-4) (0-2)

Brevard (3-1) (2-0) @
Smoky Mountain (1-3) (0-2)

Hendersonville (2-2) (1-1) @
Pisgah (4-0) (2-0)

Franklin will wallop east..franklin's coaches coach.. East's don't!! Smoky takes brevard by 7... Pisgah gets by hendo but it will be a close game

Franklin, EH is in disarray.
Brevard, hoping SM pulls it off tho.
Pisgah because it's in Canton.

Rain in the forecast again this week with all day rain Thursday and then trending down towards game time Friday. Hopefully, for our seniors, it will be done by game time.

Franklin by 24
Smoky by 7
Bears by 14 or more. HVL QB likes to throw it, but I think he will have a case of ”happy feet” with the Bears chasing him all over the field. Turnovers could be a problem for the Bearcats.

Franklin by 38.
East probably will go win less this season.

Brevard by 4.
This will be a close one and Smoky very well may pull this one out since it is in Sylva.

Pisgah by 16.
We will need to be able stop Hendersonville's air assault or it could get nasty, all of Pisgah Nation knows that we have a big target on our back now. #flyundertheradar

Eh, I'll go with with...
Franklin by 30
Brevard by 3
Pisgah by 21

I think this prediction is probably pretty accurate and especially if there is a wet field. Don't see Hendo throwing on PHS much, but especially if the ball is good and slick! I don't want to sound too confident but the Bears could finish 21 ahead and possibly blank the Hendo offense. Franklin will absolutely walk the dog with East and then Smoky should do the same with Brevard! Let's not forget that Brevard only beat East 14-0 if I'm not mistaken.

Currently, we have three, two way ties for the M-6 conference which to me, means things are starting to heat up and it's time to shine (if your going to).

(1'st) - Pisgah 2-0, Brevard 2-0

(2'nd) - Franklin 1-1, Hendersonville 1-1

(3'rd) - Smoky 0-2, East Hendo 0-2

Hendersonville's O-line appears to be young and not too large. However, they might just be more than our Four-Horsemen upfront on defense can handle?
That means they'll be a little more athletic. Don't know if Pisgah D line can get off their blocks. May could be a long night for the Bears.

???? They can handle them

Hville's got two really quick receivers and #16 has got some talent and size. They will be a handful, the battle at the line of scrimmage will be the key to game Friday. If #16 gets comfortable in the pocket, it could be a long night.

Franklin over East (Closer than most expect)
Pisgah over Hendo
Brevard over SM (the Mnt 6 game of the week) in a tight one

Man that was a helluva game in Canton. Nobody picked my Bearcats to win!!!!!!! They took the Franklin game for granted thinking we couldn't play. I was going crazy in my living room!!!! Soooo much of a fun game to watch on TV. I can't believe some of yall said on here Pisgah would shut us out. Great game though. Pisgah was tough. Good luck the rest of the way.

I didn’t post but I thought yall had a good shot.

Yea and as much as yall were talking on here since last week....I wanted to save it just for this.
Ok whatever say. Good win for the Bearcats. I knew it'd be a hard fought win for whoever won.
Guess the Bears will lick their wounds and get ready for next week.

That’s why every week is different. Brevard is starting to show good progression week after week. The offense has finally started showings sign of life to go with the defense. This year’s version is not as potent as the last couple of previous years but the kids are playing tough. The next two weeks will tell a lot.

Well, I was way off on my prediction unfortunately. Hendo was a much better team last night than the little bit that I had seen of them before. You could def tell they've had that game circled on the schedule. Thought our defense looked good as usual. Flying to the ball and laying some licks. With that being said, couple of things... Just my worthless two cents but when you're as one-dimensional as we are on O then sooner or later it's going to bite you in the ass. Imagine though, in a shortened season, with fall football now only mere months away, having a raw but talented Sophomore QB that can actually throw the ball that could be getting all those V reps and real development. Put Cain back where he belongs, especially with Devin out. Get him the ball quickly out in space and let him do his thing. We've literally got like 4 possible RB's. Ian Rogers needs more touches! He's got some old school in him and that's what this team needs. One last thing, if Franklin beat this Hendo team then they've rebounded much quicker than I previously thought. Nobody in the Mountain 6 will come close to winning a state championship or probably even go far in the playoffs, but I can't wait to see the remaining competitive conference games the next 2 weeks with Franklin and Brevard.

Saw most of that Hendo PHS game in person. Man what perfect weather for a game and a full moon to boot! Turned out to be one of the better games Ive seen on that field. Hendersonville reminded me of a version of Asheville, but with fewer numbers. They are not known for physicality, but this team was PHYSICAL. They took a lot of big time hits and gave some of their own. H could run AND pass effectively at times, which PHS had trouble with most of the night. When the Bearcats found that PHS could not or would not pass, I was afraid it would be hard for PHS to win this game in the end. IDK if the loss of the PHS receiver/DB would have made the difference, and it certainly wouldn't have if they didn't try to throw to him once in a while. The offense PHS uses IMO NEEDS at least a threat of a pass to be effective and I believe that was the difference in the game. JMO. Still.....EXCELLENT game worth the price of admission.
