probably....but my question is why would Mtn. H schedule such an opponent to begin with??
I mean really if a school has any concerns at all about a team (like this team) I would not feel bad about it at all. Better safe than sorry
I acknowledge the fact that I don’t know enough about western NC scheduling problems to give the opinion that I’d like to give... which is “don’t just schedule teams that you know nothing about”...
But, it seems that other reputable programs have done the same thing.
Did this school come calling? How did all these NC teams land on the same opponent?
They must feel pretty strongly to give up a home game and the gate money associated with it.

I think they made the right decision. Why are so many teams struggling to find opponent's? I know Brevard has to travel to Greer, SC to avoid two bye weeks.
my guess is that this "school" probably doesn't have a home field per se...….are you talking about Mtn. Heritage?? I know they obviously have their own place but I bet this team from Atlanta doesn't...……………..…………………..
Based on what was posted on here it was the other way around. I have no clue to TBH. Every other poster here seems to know 'the scoop' or have 'the inside scoop'
Pisgah has had the same issues getting non conference games. It really comes down to the 9 team WMAC and the 8 team SMC. They both have so many conference games, that they have to use their limited non conf. games playing out of conference rivals. Mountain 6 teams have only 5 conference games, so they have trouble filling the non conference spots. It Is worse for the winter and spring sports. Mountain 6 baseball teams play each other 3 times to fill out their schedule of games.
SMC only has 7 teams. Only some area teams will play them. They have to fight like hell to fill out their non-conference schedules. That's why they play teams from Tennessee, Georgia, Kentucky, wherever and whoever pretty much.
LCA has a home field, Swain drove down there the first week and there were a myriad of problems with field quality and lack of lights and such.

The game got cancelled halfway through the fourth when LCA's coaches tried to fight the officials. Robbinsville posters have said that they cops escorted them to the county line.
