Mooresville vs Weddington (Neutral site)

I know it’s a little early to start but I’m excited for this one. Week 1 to open up at Neutral site (Memorial Stadium I believe) and It’s going to be on 21 or 22 which is what is listed on our schedule graphic

This will be a major test for the Blue Devils as This Weddington team is known for a tough defense with an above avg offense. Mooresville Offensive is very good but Defense will be the ? ; I am excited as this is prob of one the biggest match up Mooresville has had in Non conference wise. This is going to be fun.

Mooresville looks to challenge themselves this year with Grimsley (Pre season) ; Weddington; Hough and East Forsyth.

Anyone know what Weddington will bring back this year

The twins on the D-Line and Thomas Davis's son at LB are the main ones. They will be strong defensively. New QB on offense but a couple of WRs return also. They'll be strong again.

Kicking off the season at a spot like Memorial Stadium is like throwing a big ol' Ohio State Fair fry at your face - intense and messy! Watching teams clash in that epic showdown is peak NC energy, no cap!

Weddington will give a good indication of where Mooresville offense will be as We know Weddington is most def a DEFENSE first type team. I'll be interested to see how Weddington offense will look.

Last yr Weddington only gave up 148 pts and scored 538 *(Im not a fan of there conference previously*)


Last yr Mooresville scored 582 and gave up 151

Both teams are somewhat Identical in term of pts scored/given up but Mooresville will have to reshape there defense so will be also be a good test for the Mooresville D. I know they gotten a few guys transferred in , obviously they have a great experienced DC in Coach Williams but Like a old school coach told me: ONLY TIME WILL TELL BROTHA and that time will see How well this defense is.

The way Mooresville area is growing they may eventually be the team to beat. Found out Theresa Earnhardt 400 acre land got approved for Technology park. Will cause more build up of population of people. Will all this growth eventually cause Mooresville high to over flow with students.

MGSD, will never do that. School might enroll between 5000 to 10,000 with in the next 10 years.
