Just don't see anyone in 2AA being on the same level with Monroe this year. Redhawks were 4 points short of scoring 50 points in every playoff game. I don't see anyone slowing this well oiled machine down. Anything is possible though and Bunn may surprise everyone but I don't see it. Honestly I hope Bunn wins. Can't pull for Monroe being a Yellow Jacket. Congratulations to Bunn and Clinton on great seasons, sounds like it was a thriller and a heart breaker. Have been on the heart break side several times with Forest Hills.

Monroe 42 Bunn 17

Anyone else with predictions..........????

One thing about Monroe is the growth in Union County. Just a hand full of years Monroe was 1A. The next realignment they'll be 3A. So their pool of talent has grown a lot. It's effecting every school in the county. Forest Hills has grown and they'll probably be back in 3A if the pace of growth continues. So that alone gives Monroe an edge. Not their fault but its an advantage. Not sure of Bunn's Numbers and talent pool.

Only chance Bunn has is if they control the clock and play keep away from Monroe, only problem is Monroe this will be the goal and will have a 11 in box daring you to pass, which Bunn doesn't like to do. I think regardless of it would've been Clinton or Bunn, Monroe was gonna be the team to beat. Bunn doesn't have the secondary athletes to compete with a pass happy attack. I wish Bunn all the best as a representative of the east, even though Clinton got hosed on a bad call last night, but the spread offense is the way to go in Highschool and east teams just don't like to run it so we never see it, easier to stop the running team, vs the passing/running team.
50-21 Monroe.

I said before the season that I thought everybody was playing for 2nd place behind Monroe so I'm sticking with it here. Monroe in a route 49-14

Hope Monroe lays it on them......refs won't save em this time

You're acting like Bunn had anything to do with the call. Did you want Bunn coaches to say, "No no Mr. Refs, the clock said 0:00, Clinton gets to win this one?" It doesn't work that way in sports whether it's a missed call in the 1st quarter or to win the game at the end. I'm from Bunn and I'll admit I thought it was over, but the refs saw it differently. We've all been on both sides of a missed call deep in the playoffs. My point is you can't be mad at Bunn or wish bad luck on them, but I understand 100% why you're upset at the call.

i have to agree Darkhorse#34. i hate to be bitter but i felt like there were several suspect things going in Bunns favor in our game such as extra seconds inexplicably running off the clock in our last drive. it was very blatant and very obvious to us.

Go to basketball practice. You are whining just as much as some of the Clinton posters. Absolutely ridiculous. Your team lost. Last week it was your coaches fault, this week it is supposedly extra seconds running off the clock. To funny.

No clock operators or refs will save you this week...everyone knows Clinton beat Bunn 23-20 end of story....enjoy the slaughter I hope Monroe holds nothing back and the only relief the refs give you is that Mercy Rule......Monroe 49 Bunn 14

I wished I lived in your fantasy land. Enjoy b-ball

Monroe's motto this year has been "leave no doubt" and they have put that motto to practice all year long. The most stunning stat I've seen on them is that they have only allowed 11 points per game on defense..I bet alot of those points were in the 4th quarter when the starters were out. The East Lincoln game was supposed to be a showdown between them and Surratt (not 100%) and all they did was blow them out and I doubt a healthy Surratt would've made up for a 40 point difference.

Let's let Bunn enjoy their ONE trip to the state championships. What's done is done, Clinton will have most of their team back next year and we can get back to the 'ship.

Got my hotel booked and ready to enjoy a day of west domination and a good night sleep at the hotel....believe that Monroe is the team to beat this year...should be a good day for them and Shelby

I agree he probably doesn't make up 40 points but his injury had an epic impact on this game. After all he is the scoring king all-time in NC football history without his throwing arm. That had to have a huge impact on team focus. With that said I favored Monroe if he had been healthy in a close game and I favor them big time in the state game.

According to Brian Simmons championship predictions.....Monroe is favored to win by 29. Wow!!! Don't usually see that big a spread for a title game.

Cause the team Monroe is playing should not even be there....Monroe will win by whatever their Coach wants them to win by

Monroe better not order those rings before they win. I do believe Bunn has a running back with over 2000 yards rushing.

In all honesty I know nothing about Bunn. With that being said Monroe, Monroe, Monroe! The RedHawks are just one of those teams. Different styles but, as a Panther fan they remind me of the West Rowan & South Point teams from the past the Panthers have played. Athletes, Coaching, & focus are a deadly combo. Would be quite surprised if this game is close let alone a Bunn victory.

Monroe is not having any trouble with Bunn's size, they have just turned the ball over a couple of times to the Wildcats, but Bunn hasn't been able to capitalize. They haven't seen team speed like the Redhawks this year.

This game is about to get silly. Take away the 2 Monroe turnovers and this one is 49-0. The disparity in talent level is evident on both sides of the ball.
