Hey Port, with a bye week and beach trip the same week, 2 cancellations and a long weekend trip to the mountains the past 4 days I didn't go to any high school games
in the calendar month of September..So Im excited to hopefully attend Scotland/Hoke this

Hoggard should win but it's fun needling you about it. Topsail will find out how they stack up against a decent SB team on the road. Thanks to Florence and the schedule getting rearranged, they can gain a little more confidence before facing the heavyweights.
Do you think Topsail is better this year than at this point last year? I think SB is better, not as athletic but better overall with discipline and understanding their responsibility.
South is horrible. This was not a test at all. Laney will match up with better athletes so the jury is still out on the Pirates. If they beat the Bucs soundly, we might have a game on a Tuesday at Braswell.
1) Impressive win for Topsail. I am not surprised that they won but was with the score. SB had some momentum heading into this home game and Topsail dominated them.
2) The same could be said for Ashley. Huge let down for them against a team they need to beat to get over the hump.
3)WB goes to the wing T against Hoggard and only gain 110 yards of total offense. Their defense really swarmed to the ball and even though Hoggard scored 31 points they really had to work for all of them. It was 7-0 Hoggard with under 2 mins left in the 1st half.
4) What is going on at Laney. They have scored 48 points in 5 games and 23 of those points come against 0-4 Triton(3A). They have played some good teams but have only scored 26 points in those 4 games. They have the best athlete in town and can't seem to get anything from him. Props to the Laney defense for holding NH to 1 offensive TD but their offense has to been awful.
5) I just can not figure this NH team out. They were thought to be a very good offensive team this year but have struggled to find consistency and the defense looked awful to start the year but has come up big a few times when they needed it. I dont know if this is an offensive team or a defensive team.
