MEC Week 10

Topsail @ Hoggard - Topsail looks to show that they are for real. Hoggard ain’t Laney and the undefeated season comes to an end.
SB @ NH - SB will have to keep Walston out of rhythm and force some turnovers to pull the upset. NH with too many athletes in this one.
Laney @ NB - Laney lost a heartbreaker Friday and drop to 1-5. NB much improved this season and this may be a good game. Laney size will be a little too much.
WB @ Ashley- Two struggling offenses matchup in this one. WB defense is better and that will be the difference.

By the way, these games will be played Tuesday as make up dates. Each team will play again Friday or Saturday.

The undefeated Fighting Topsail Pirates will UPSET....their stomachs before this game and not be able to overcome nerves and mistakes. Unlike last year‘s game topsail comes in with two conference wins under their belt and should help but the coaching staff in Hampstead doesn’t seem to game plan well.
All other games in the conference this Tuesday are meaningless.

Topsail is better than last year. They have some nice pieces. The QB throws the slant very well. Topsail ran out of gas in the second half. Topsail should be able to score on NH but their secondary was exposed tonight. NH will try to throw deep on them. Should be a good game. Topsail shouldn’t lose any more conf games except maybe NH. Good luck to them the rest of the way.

Walston threw for over 300 yards, but is not what he was ago. A lot of weapons have left from last year's state championship team and they looked sloppy at times tonight. I really thought the Wildcats would improve as the season went along, but they are a shell of what they were a year ago. I was hoping for a good New Hanover/Hoggard game this year, but looks like another blow out win for the Vikings this year
