Goob…I gotta share…while back I had lunch with the Chicken Liver gang and we’re all sitting around shooting the crap. I make the remark that Reidsville will not win the championship this year! You could’ve heard a pin drop…I thought Shelby Lion was gonna choke on his cheeseburger. 😂…even ole Grizz looked at me all big eyed!😂

That’s right! I said it!!…was my next statement. 😂

Sooo…we start pontificating on who it could be…mind you….this was awhile back and we didn’t know what we know now.

Ole Grizz brings up Shelby…we shoot that one down due to worrying about their offensive line.

I bring up the CVAC…of course the Cleveland county boys shoot that down faster than Lion can eat a cheeseburger. 👀

Me and Grizz bring up Brevard because we been high on them all season…again…the Cleveland county boys ain’t having none of that.

Lion brings up Monroe…and I ain’t gonna lie…I shot it down simply due to what I saw at Bunker Hill and the West Lincoln result from last year.

Soo…there we are…as usual…stuck…hung jury with 12 old men😂….i ain’t budging on Reidsville and they ain’t budging right back at me.

And Ole Lion says sump ‘em I ain’t believing rolled out his mouth…he says what about Northeastern?

I immediately reply….NOW THERE IT IS!!….Im all in on that pick!😉….Lets eat!

I said since early in the season this isnt Shelbys year.... next is though, calling it now... also said we would beat Maiden by forty.. Well I missed that one Ill admit.. LOL... I saw Northeastern play or maybe some highlights and saw them throwing it around finally, and thought hey this team looks atheltic and quick, they may finally have a real shot out of the east...

If I am being honest Id like to see Brevard , Whiteville or Northeastern win it... someone different for a change, but this Monroe team is scary good all the way around... Going to take a special game from someone to beat them but Id be tickled for the Brevard crowd if they could do it...

I watched the Monroe - Shelby game this weekend. I see a lot of similarities between Monroe and Northeastern. Both have athletes all over the field and they both have plenty of speed. I’d love to see these 2 teams go at it. Going to be a great game.

Please don't give the Lion credit for that! He didn't know which end of the chicken liver to start eating on util you told him. Northeastern has been solid all year. I'd love to see them get a chance at a ring as well.


Monroe looks to be playing some consistent football at this time and that's unusual for them this late in the playoffs, but Brevard is coming to town and they are a bunch of tough Blue Devils. So who knows.

Now see what you've done Creek, I was trying to stay off the forum this week and you put up this post that I have to respond to. I know we're gonna win now cause you and @Shelby Lion have picked us. This is big,really big tbh !! Both of y'all have made my day. This Whiteville team coming to Elizabeth City for the second year in a row has me a little nervous, but after hearing that both of you guys picked us a while back it has given me more confidence. I'm as superstitious as they come and I know this is the sign I've been waiting for. Big thanks to both of you. I also agree with Otis when he said a potential Monroe vs Northeastern matchup would be fun to watch
