Mallard Creek needs Week 1 and Week 4 games

They have already reached out to Pinecrest. Not happening! Pinecrest decided this would not be a good year.

I've been told MC has contacted a ton of teams. I'm sure since they played in the Hoover 7 on 7 last year they've already talked to them. It takes a lot more to schedule a game than just having the same open date. Especially out of state.

Hoover is not available. Not familiar with Bayside. Valdosta would be interesting but it is definitely a overnight stay and MC would need some substantial $$ . If they were gonna do that I would prefer they take on Rush and CC

Valdosta's HC just took OC job at GA Southern. Great place to go to a game but it is a haul from Charlotte and I doubt they are paying anyone to come there. That is two nights in a hotel. Went down for the Colquitt game in 2014.

I agree on playing Colquitt but Propst seemed tight with the cash last season. Valdosta is not playing elite level currently but Colquitt is.

According to sources from inside the Dillon locker room, Coach Hayes is in negotiations with Mallard Creek now for a possible rematch. Supposedly chances are good, but will not be the first game of the season and most likely played in Charlotte. Any info from your end on this?

You are correct on the Dillon rematch negotiation. Another SC school is in talks with MC also.

Could be three SC schools.
* sigh *

Well, at least someone has the courage to schedule them. C'mon, NC teams...enough with the excuses already! ESPECIALLY for you mouth runners out there (you know who you are).

Aren't a lot of schools in the second year of their home at home and wouldn't be able to get out of the contract ... Or is That not that difficult to get out of?

No! A lot of school are not in the 2nd year of their home at home. Definitely not to the point that not 1 school in the entire state reaches out.

Those aren't totally binding contracts, you can get out of those games if you wanted to. However, most teams don't

I'm sure there are a lot schools that don't want to play Mallard Creek, but like CC14 said they don't want to get out of those contracts so not to upset relationships with other schools. Also I would think a game being home or away woud factor into it. Yes ... There are schools that don't want anything to do with Mallard Creek, but I think there is more to it in some cases than not wanting to play them.

Mallard Creek will travel for any game. They have made financial offers to "buy out" opposing schools through the school they wish to play.

Regarding Ashbrook, I am not sure how good the relationship is between MC and Ashbrook's staffs as the HC was the HC at East Meck and there were some disagreements. If they had a strong relationship I think MC could get them involved. Crest v MC is a huge draw. Split the gate between the schools and MC splits their portion with Ashbrook. Ashbrook can then go after another home game and Crest gets a home game. Crest also makes the money on the concessions.

It absolutely blows me away that not one NC school especially some of the ones up in the Triangle are not calling??? You would think with the absolute beatings they take every year in the playoffs from the West that they would change the formula of playing below average competition in there non conference schedule...

Based on the teams Mallard Creeks are in discussion with, could be one of the toughest schedules in the NATION.

Well looks like Week 1, Week 4, and possibly Week 5 are open after speaking to Coach P today.

Would be great if MC could match up with Dorman, or even better Tommy Knotts Dutch Fork bunch. Both being former coaches in NC would make it interesting. Not much for MC to seek west of Charlotte on their level.

If MC gets the national game that is in the works it will be an impressive pick up. Big name private.

Dillon is not a done deal but they have been offered a guaranteed amount to travel to Charlotte.

One of the teams they'll play according to nepsy7 is way way bigger than Dutch Fork!

id love to see mallard creek come up to play one of the mountain teams acr ashville or erwin it helps to play good competition i think

Would rather them play Catholic or Dudley or Crest even Shelby before ANY mountain team.

Really hope they get Dematha (MD) or Lake Taylor along with NW

Hopefully......... Dillon, Byrnes, Butler and Dematha out of conference. Than find a replacement for Indy? Looks like they are backing out.

If that scheduled verified and throwing in the Mecka being the toughest conf in the state with both Hough and Vance most likely being top 10 it would not only be the toughest schedule in the state but also the toughest schedule ever played by any NC football squad regardless of who replaces Indy. My only question is how much does Dillon have coming back. If they are as good as the 2013 version then this schedule would be the equivalent of playing 6 or maybe 7 top 10 NC teams in one year.

Dillon's qb graduated which is big but not sure about anything else.

Just playing Byrnes, Butler, and the MECKA is a beast much less adding two or three other powerhouses.

Dillon has won the last 4 State Championships in a row. They just re-load.
QB Avery McCall committed to Coastal Carolina.
Because of the point system in SC none of the larger programs, I doubt would ever play them.
