Asheville 35 Carver 14 - The Cougars are 1-3 and hungry for a win. Like Erwin and Reynolds they have played a good schedule and it will pay off in the long run I believe. I know some of their fans are really down on the team but I am not buying it. They are still Asheville and can beat any team in wnc on any given night. Carver is 1-4 and on the road. Not good for them.
Roberson 28 McDowell 7 - TCR is the surprise in the conference this year. Is it their weak schedule early, or are they for real. We will find out in a few weeks. McDowell is a decent team but they will not be able to hang with the top teams in the conference.
Enka 21 NB 14 - This will most likely be the only shot at a win for either of these teams in the conference...Enka seems like they are slightly better then NB so far but who knows.
Erwin 45 ACR 42 - Maybe the biggest game of the year in the MAC right off the bat. Reynolds is confusing to me. They lost to two very good teams and blew out two bad ones. They were played very close by another one. I am not even sure who their star players are this season, but all I know is Rico Dowdle is gone, thank goodness! Erwin has played a quality opponent every week and come out with a 2-3 record. That was about what I expected. The Warriors have a very explosive offense but their defense is always questionable. If the D shows up somewhat they will be hard to beat.
