Generally we look at the I-Meck as the toughest conference in the state. And it is. Covid has played havoc and with having over a year off from football, I think it has effected the teams in different ways. I know this conference has not played any non conference teams. So looking at the standings one would think maybe the conference is way down in general.
But 2 of the top teams in the State are 6-0 and will clash this Friday. I think the people will get their money’s worth on this. Lake Norman has improved a whole lot. Mallard Creek is unusually down but I think in time they will build back up. Mooresville has improved greatly in the last couple games and we will see them go head to head with Mallard Creek this Friday. Will Mooresville give them a game. We shall see. The bottom 3 are 1-5. Interesting to see how all this plays out. My thoughts... I just hope football gets back to more of normal standard for next fall.
